I hope the WUMB boards aren't down for good. I like it there. I like it here too but I still think WUMB has some cool stuff there.

I do feel bad for the folks that posted there, hopefully they will come over to PoP!. Wizard should of at least respected everyone by having them grab what they can from the boards though, but this just proves my point, Wizard does not care about the people that pay money for thier products.

Can't say I'm surprised...why delete every post that shows how bad Wizard is where you can just delete the entire board.

I'm quite shocked and extremely sad, yet I KNEW it was coming. I was just talking with a few WUMBers like 2 or 3 days ago saying that I didn't think the WUMB had much time left.

What I wonder is how this will effect customer service. Wasn't the board one of the only ways to get a response?

I think Justin was the only one left who would attempt to straighten things out. They sure as hell never responded to any emails.

Wizard was asking for people's Turner sketches for a tribute book. Many people sent Wizard copies of their sketches thinking a portion of the funds would go to a charity. It didnt happen.

Back in March, Brett White and Adam Tracy were asking for Turner sketches to be sent in so they could be published in an upcoming Tribute book to Michael. A lot of people were hesitant and wanted to make sure a portion of the proceeds went to a charity before they sent in their sketch. Adam checked and said YES, some of the proceeds will go to the Sam Loeb Foundation. Everyone was happy with that and sent theirs in.

Months go by, Brett gets the inevitable axe and Adam leaves and there's still no word about this book. The only answer I get is from Brett who says the book is in limbo because everyone who worked on it is no longer with the company.

On Mike's birthday (mid-April EDIT: Was the anniversary of Mike's death, not his birthday. So June 27th then) I happen to be on Vince Hernandez's Facebook page and see someone write something along the lines of " Thinking of you and the boys today. You may want to pass along the info to Kristin Allen that her MT sketch was published in the Tribute book. Maybe that will bring her some joy. " I immediately message this guy and ask him to explain this book to me. And sure enough, it's exactly what the previous two Wizard MT books were with just a few more pages. But more importantly, no mention of Sam's fund or any of the proceeds being donated at all. I explain to this guy the story up to this point and as luck should have it, he's done work for Sam's fund before and occasionally talks to Jeph. He said if I wanted he could try to contact Jeph about this and see if any donations were made. I wanted to first try to contact Wizard and see what they had to say. I'm sure none of you are surprised that I never got a response on the boards or in an email.

Chicago Con comes around and a little birdie confirms it, no donation was ever made.

My blood still boils over this. I don't think Joe, Adam or Brett duped the fans, I'm sure when they were in charge of this a donation was going to happen. Whoever took over this project had to have gotten their notes - they obviously got the files.

This is the book.


I'd also like to also point out that it was published less than a year after the original Tribute book.
