Anyone watch the 5th season premiere.

I loved it. Ted's lecture was great (especially not knowing how to spell professor).

It'll take me a while to get used to Barney being in a relationship, but I'm sure it'll be legen...wait for it...dary.

Oh, I'm sorry. Did I forget to tell you it was Tuxedo Night? Yeah, how does it feel!?

A solid season premiere. I can't wait to not find out who the Mother is again this season.

If we find out who the mother is, then the show is over! So lets not find out... EVER.

She was in the classroom from the season premiere, but they've been in the same room before and never met, so there ya go.

I don't think he did that at all last season. If he did, it was pretty rare. I think we'll be seeing a lot of develoment of Barney's character this season.

I'm with you there. It's just like all the people I went to high school with saying "Schwing" and "Not" all the time after Wayne's World came out. Still love the movie, but the catch phrases got old really quickly.

He has to meet her pretty soon. The future seen in the show is 2030 and the kids are like 15 or 16. So they'd have to be born in 2014 or 2015 which puts the pregnancy around 2013 or so which is just 4 years from now. Now, assuming they get married before she gets pregnant and assuming they date for a year or two before marriage then he HAS to meet her soon.

I know they wanted a more mature voice for older Ted, and I like Bob Saget narrating a LOT, but it is weird. Voices don't change like that after a certain age.

On another note, I did happen to buy Barney's book, its called The Bro Code.

Funny stuff in there on being a wing man and following the code to being a bro.

I didn't know about Saget until the Season 1 DVD special features. I still love it.

And, that book is one of the greatest books ever written.

This is a big part of why I've stopped watching it. I kind of hated last season and the fact that this gimmick has been trung out too long. Change the name to "How I Married Your Mother" and let the show progress.

I also HATE Barney's maturation. It's just like House. I enjoy too much the characters they were, and now... meh.

You're my biggest fan and I love you man, but... you have GOT to put less thought into these sorts of things :LOL:
