I was only slightly irritated by the ads. At least they were for other relevant books not hostess twinkies.

Yeah I love the idea of Carol and Hal together but it always seems a little flat in the execution. If Cowgirl wasn't such a one dimensional 'female Hal Jordan' she'd be more interesting too. I think it would be better if Hal had a girlfriend who couldn't fly a jet fighter.

Larfleeze and Luthor? Meh, I'm getting a bit bored with the odd couple double act, Luthor works best alone and The Orange Lantern should be used in small doses or the joke will wear thin.

I thought this was a great issue. It put a nice cap on the aftermath of Blackest Night, seeing where everyone went afterwards. Lots of interesting bits that I can't wait to see development. I don't see this title slowing down anytime soon!

I don't get it either. I for one am glad to know where I can follow those stories and what to be looking for in the upcoming weeks. It seems like such an insignificant thing, I don't see how it possible detracts from the enjoyment of the book. Are people just looking for something to complain about?

There you go. I thought the ads were pretty cool and have me jazzed for all things Green Lantern.

I didn't mind the ads (not that I see them as such - I thought they were really just pointers to where certain storylines would play out) either and it's not that different from Johns's other favourite technique where he gives us a bit of a taste of upcoming storylines for the next 12 months.

This weeks Green Lantern wins the award for most adorable cat on the cover. I really like everything that's being set up by Johns here and I'm happy to see that the book didn't hit any kind of slump after Blackest Night.

#54 wasn't bad, but it needed some Larfleeze. Great ending, though. Totally random, but that's not always a bad thing.

I loved this. The art was gorgeous.

I absolutely love Atrocitus so the more of him the better.

I am NOT a fan of Lobo AT ALL, but his appearance didn't hurt my enjoyment of the book.

A few very interesting developments in this. The White Lantern talking to Hal, Sinestro, and Carol. Then the mysterious figure tracking down Sodam Yat and adding Ion to his collection, wonder how Arisa will react to this. The stuff with Atrocious was great too. I hope he battles Aquaman to the death for the affections of Queen Mera . Not too thrilled about Lobo at the end, but hopefully it's for a good reason.

Pretty much. The White Lantern's "LIVE." "HELP THEM LIVE" and so forth is annoying now. I'm surprised we haven't had a panel of Hal or someone going "How you stupid lantern! Hoooow!!" I commend their patience. And Hal essentially picking a fight when well reasoned discussion may have stayed Atroticus's rage made me shake my head. It seriously feels like they are drawing things out, which is annoying.

On the plus side, the coloring was pretty, especially when they tried to life the White Lantern.

Well, I'm glad that two month moratorium on resurrections has been lifted! PHEW! Thank GOD we had a mega-event that would finally put the resurrection genie back in the bottle... for a couple of issues.

I know both companies are going to bring characters back. Why can't they both just stop saying "Dead means dead" and shit like that?

It's also pretty funny that all the uncaptured emotional entities (and IIRC, Ophidian the avarice snake is in the Orange Power Battery Larfleeze carries around) are in the U.S.

Issue 54 was good and as a Lobo fan, it's nice to see him involved with a best selling book.

Err he wasn't dead in the first place....
