War of the Green Lanterns

I thought it would be nice to have one place to talk about this crossover.

I am so damn excited about this.

I hope this is short. How many parts is this?

Not many issues it seems:

Prologue: Green Lantern #63
Part 1: Green Lantern #64
Part 2: Green Lantern Corps #58
Part 3: Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors #8

So not very long at all but this is just a prologue to the War of the Lanterns which could be longer.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's longer. My guess would be something around the length of Sinestro Corps War.

According to the list at the end of Green Lantern #62, those were all the issues that were listed and it didn't state that this was the first part of the War of the Green Lanterns or anything so that makes me think that this is all. So who knows? Maybe the war is a lot more like a skirmish than an actual war because you have to remember that this war is going to lead into a bigger war that I believe will involve every Lantern Corps.

I seem to recall interviews saying it would last into the summer, but I could be wrong.

As hinted by Green Lantern writer and DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns early last month at New York Comic Con, War of the Green Lanterns is coming, and DC Comics released the first teaser image on Monday afternoon, showing fractured green power rings.

In a post on The Source credited to Johns, it's noted that the story will start in March 2011 with War of the Green Lanterns #1, and continue through the Green Lantern titles in March, April and May.
