The ending was a bit predictable when we discover what is what--or who is what--but I am really enjoying the retconned backstories for The Sirens.

Yeah, I thought the last issue was pretty good as well. They've done a great job at keeping the feel of the series consistent even with Dini on break. Great stuff

#9. Good to see Dini back, and one of his favorite D-list villains of Gotham, as well. He did create him. Neat little who-done-it involving the Sirens and Nigma. Should end interestingly.

And it looks like Nigma is starting to crack. I wonder if they're bringing him back to his criminal ways? The girls were comical as always. Good issue. Smile

^ They could be the corruption to pull him back into the mess. Wink 'Course they've taken an alternate path as well. The nigh-amoral villain that rides the line seems to be a common theme in DC as of late. Thanks in part to Simone's Secret Six.

Like everyone else said, great to have Dini back (even though the past couple issues have been nearly as god), and Gillem is just so strong with art. The Sirens books involving Riddler are the best ones; I do know some Sirens-only lovers will disagree, but the way Dini's writing a now-cracking Nigma is just too good. I loved this issue just about 'til Dini slapped on an unfortunate "see you next month!" ending...with a villain we've seen on Heart of Hush.

I don't see myself dropping this anytime soon.

3.5/5 Bags&Boards - Very good

Yep, another good issue, I was wondering if they were going to write Nigma as he's been portrayed over in Batman, and I thought Dini did a fine job picking up what's left of the character and working it into a fun character to read, part of him still wanting to do good and part of him tempted to go back to his old ways.

I like these Eddie Nigma issues, the Sirens still pop up and are a riot, but then you get so much character work on Eddie, just a fun, fun read.

The end actually had me laughing, it was one of those, "Wait, who the hell is that?" moments that Dini has a knack for breaking out.

Of course Gillem kills the art in the issue, I actually expect nothing less than absolute perfection from him and he delivers every issue.

Can't say enough about this book, every issue is just a pleasure to read and I'm always looking forward to the next one as I make my trip out to the LCS.

I'm really enjoying this as well. I love Harley Quinn, and I'm really picky about her. I only like her drawn and written certain ways or she's just not "Harley" to me, and this has not disappointed. And it doesn't bother me at all that it's not intertwined with the rest of the DC universe, because now they can to some extent just have fun with it. I'm excited to see what the next one brings =D

Another highly enjoyable issue. Fans of the Riddler need to check this out! And fear not GCS fans; their presence steers away complete focus on Nigma. There's plenty of Pam, Harley and Selena to enjoy with some pretty sharp art. I was unsure about this Doctor Aesop character--notorious for getting stomped on by his own Lion in one of Dini's past Hush stories--but he comes off pretty sinister, albeit gullible, here. Although this story surely won't wow any Gotham diehards out there, you have to commend Dini's consistency.

3.5/5 Hot Villain Chicks - Seems to be the standard score for this book, and that's not a bad thing.

Agreed with everything here. I also thought it was pretty funny how hurt Eddie was that the girls "used" him. Like villains have real feelings, pshaw! Laughing

Liked the Bat Fable at the beginning. Does he make his own tales, playing off of Aesop's book, or was that an actual story from Aesop?

The Riddler tease was to be expected. Twas only a matter of time, and, appropriately, Dini is writing his possible descendence back into what he was.

Yet another lovable GCS romp by Dini, with one serious story concerning Ivy's new job at S.T.A.R. Labs and lighter fair concerning Selena and Harley in finding a missing pooch, or a hundred. The end result is not so light, however, as is Ivy's matter that spurns into the next issue. Dini's doing a great job mixing and matching each of the Gotham babes spotlights in terms of range, be it a life-and-death matter or something more popcorn.

While the fill-in art on this title has been admirable, I can't help but miss all the sultryness of Guillem March's art. I know he's been working on other projects, including the adjectiveless Batman title, among other things, but the book comes off as just another comic without it.

Now I understand why IGN, comicbookresources and some other outlets fail to recognize this title and review it: it's merely too consistent.

3.5/5 Dog Robbing Vick Fans - Always a joy.
