I am so, soooooo sick and OVER these pulic shootings and mass executions. Seriously.
They make me so so mad, and so so sad at the same time. Fucking senseless, selfish and destructive. Makes me nautious. Sad

This is happening today, just unfolding (check your news stations if you can stand the sickening drama):

At least one U.S. soldier opened fire Thursday at Fort Hood, Texas, killing at least 11 12 people and wounding 31 others, military officials said.

One gunman was shot to death, and two other soldiers were in custody, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone, commanding general of the Army’s III Corps, told reporters.


I'm sure we'll learn much more later.
But seriously, fucking enough already you stupid, stupid mentally damaged people. Mad

Was it confirmed that it was a soldier? Up until now I had read that they had yet to determine if it was military personnel or civilians.

It was an Officer, confirmed, who was upset about being redeployed or something. I'll update this as I'm listening, I guess, but I can guarantee I'll get it wrong.


This base they treated/rehibilitated soldiers suffering from post traumatic stress and stuff, but unknown whether these soldiers had anything to do with that treatment.

I'd hate to say it, but our various millitary branches do not do a good enough job of weeding these people out of the system. They're too hurting for soldiers, they're accepting almost anybody. Obviously that would never excuse someones actions, but taking a mentally off person and trainging them to kill is bound to go wrong. My thoughts are with anyone and everyone this affects.

actually...the guy was a psychiatrist for the army,and had been in the military for a number of years..he even had a physiology phd or something like that.....he was the guy who the meantally off people went to,that being said i have a friend in fort hood right now,thank god i got in touch with his sister because all i got was a busy signal...he's fine,his wife and kids are fine....alot of other people aren't. please keep them in your thoughts and prayers,it's a bad situation,and sadly it might get worse before it gets better

agreed...truth be told...as many people as i know in the military,i bet all of them will say this is the first time they've ever heard of something like this happening,hell non-military for that matter would say the same thing. it's just,plain senseless. the news of course will throw their own spin on it,so i'll wait til morning and see what "full" story they have...but from what i'm hearing,if he didn't want redeployment he could have just took a damn discharge or something.

This is sad and horrible news. It makes one wonder where they can be safe, when a person, pissed off for whatever, can whip out a gun and shoot people. I think there ought to be measures in place to check for these people since, as Colossus showed, it can be a normally functioning person who has a bad day or twisted morals that can lead to this.

This guy is a piece of dog shit! How dare he shoot and kill his brothers! That is an act that can not be forgiven. It is a shame that he didn't die! He's crying about going on deployment to a combat theatre? Fuck him! He's in the medical corps. Those guys barely leave the wire and get to sleep at hard sites with running water, and have all the same ammenities they would if they were stateside. He had no wife and no kids. So why was it so hard for him to do a year overseas? You got guys who have done 3+ tours over seas and you don't see them shooting people up or crying about going on deployment. He signed up for the Army. Nobody forced him to. Did he think it was gonna be sunshine and rainbows the entire time? Did he think that at some point in time he wouldn't be deployed? If so, he is living in the Land of Oz. Shit look at RIV1, that guys been on like 8 deployments. I'm sure he doesn't like it but he does it because he has to and because his country is asking him to. Sorry for the rant but I am pissed! Mad

My boy who stood up at my wedding was stationed there as well as his father. I still cant get in touch with him through the phone because they are on lockdown. He did however sneak into his cell phone and text me that he's ok.

yeah...the more i hear the more i'm pissed as well...and it's like you just said and i said a bit ago,he could have just not joined....or asked to be discharged,but in today's (current military) situation,he probably would have been denied his discharge..you never know...there's possibly alot more to the story,that we will learn in later days.

People that go on shooting sprees make me so fucking mad.
I mean, HOW self-righteous, self-important, self-absorbed, and fucking simply selfish can you get.

How in the world can anybody think that they are soooooo important, that they have the right to so negatively change so many other people's lives like that. So many families are in incredible pain right now, as well everybody in the army as they're a family too, I might add. All of their lives are forever changed for the worse and this hurt will never be healed, as well as future generations that have been wiped out from the people who would still have had kids, who would have had their own kids, and so on.

Nobody in the world is so important that their own whiny 'statement' of 'look at me I'm hurting, pissed off, I want everybody to feel what I'm feeling, or that'll teach the world' is more important that all those other people, no matter what they think. I can't imagine what it could take a person to get to that point, or what it would take to be such a person (because I think character is the key here), and I hope I never understand it, because that would be really scary.

It's just so selfish. I feel so bad for all those people right now.

And as an update, that fucker isn't even dead. He survived. Mad

TM, why do you make a habit of constantly talking out of your ass? I'm not sure if you are talking out of anger or what? Splitty voiced his outrage without pissing off folks, maybe you could have followed his lead. You are entitled to your opinions, you just need to be more constructive when posting them. The military isn't perfect, but not everyone in it is mentally challenged. I speak from experience when I say that folks are screened before and after being deployed to parts unknown. So until we have all the facts, lets keep your personal bias out of the equation.
