SPOILERS BELOW SPOILERS BELOW SPOILERS BELOW

Okay, so I just finished the latest issue of X-Factor, and I have to admit that I was sort of shocked by the end page. I knew that Guido had been teasing Rictor about the supposed hot-and-heavy love he and Shatterstar shared while in X-Force, but there wasn't anything to really confirm that, was there? Certainly Rictor sleeping with Rahne kind of took the stink off him, so far as his being gay went.

Then, in this issue, after calming Shatterstar down, they engage in a huge gay kiss! No shame in it; it was obviously the kiss of lovers reuniting. Guido comments 'Huh. Didn't see that coming.' WELL NEITHER DID I.

Kudos, Mister David, for making Rictor a character of complex motives and desires. Further kudos to you for unabashedly presenting a not-lesbian gay romantic couple in a frank and open light.

I dunno where this storyline is going, with Madrox in the future and all that crap with the time-traveling Karma-like villain, but I'll definitely be interested in a) seeing how the relationship between Ric and S.S. plays out and b) seeing how Longshot will react to both Shatterstar's presence in the 616verse and his relationship with Rictor.

Damn you, Marvel. Just when I'm about to write off the X-books, you go and make them marginally interesting again!

If I hadn't already written that article last month, I would have done it right now.

Wow, that's the best X-book they have out. How many articles and stories oare out there that say it's the best X-book? Many. It's amaziong that Marvel would just sit there and go, we have a quality book that is not selling as many copies of our not so good books. Let's piss on the fans that read quality stuff and may be more inclined to spend money on our other products.

fuckers

Come on, the art hasn't been that bad. I will admit, it looked like someone took a dump on the pages and smeared them together during the secret invasion mini arc. But before and after that, it has been decent. And I second the "Fuck You, Marvel." If they cancel this title

That sucks. I got on the X-Factor bandwagon a bit late, but come on! The story is fantastic. I've been getting this in trades and I love it. The beginning stuff was confusing art-wise cause it almost looked like there was a different artist every issue but I love the story-telling and Multiple Man is such a deep and interesting character and I hope this is just a nasty rumor.

While I will be one of the loudest voices if this does get canceled, it seems a bit premature to assemble an angry mob, seeing as how no cancellation has been announced yet.

It's not cancelled. From Joe Q's latest "Cup O' Joe" on CBR: "X-Factor is far from cancelled. Stay tuned for an announcement regarding the future of the series at the Toronto Fan Expo."
