You got a point. I don't understand how this company makes money.

I don't think it does. Dixie's daddy owns Panda Energy. I think he's paying for it along with Spike TV

Yeah, the wrestlers (not superstars) make most of their money through merchandise sales as well as other gigs. Notice how TNA people can go to other shows and compete in various organizations. That's mainly because since they have tapings at Universal, their deal with them is that as long as they are there, they cannot charge for admission. Even on PPVs.

Yeah but having their TV tapings at Universal helps cut production costs and saves TNA money. It's the same strategy Eric Bischoff used when he took over WCW.

I watched a stream. It wasn't as bad as I expected but it was bad enough that I would have been pissed if I had paid for it. I will say this Sabu was able to wrestle a Botchless match which is a miracle in and of itself.

I read a recap and doesn't sound very interesting. So TNA basically did a "One Night Stand" PPV?

I haven't seen Sabu in years and he looked like shit then. I can only imagine how he looks now.

Okay. So RVD is about to take some time off. Now I find that weird since TNA books their shit MONTHS in advance with the story. They gave him the belt back in April, so I guess that's still a decent run. He could be injured, but that's not how this absence is coming across.

So the title will be vacated as of today, and will air next week.

TNA held tournament matches at last night's iMPACT tapings. The tournament will conclude at the No Surrender pay-per-view and a new World Champion will be crowned.

The following tournament matches are confirmed:

* Mr. Anderson vs. Jay Lethal

* Douglas Williams vs. Kurt Angle

* The Pope vs. Matt Morgan

Wait. They just vacated the title? Couldn't RVD stuck around just long enough to drop the title to someone else? Or done something where they needed a legitimate reason to vacate the title? That's just crap.

* Eric Bischoff opened show and vacated the title due to RVD's injuries.

* Jeff Hardy defeated Rob Terry in a tournament match.

* Mr. Anderson defeated Jay Lethal in a tournament match

* Kurt Angle defeated Douglas Williams in a tournament match

* Jeremy Borash said to get ready for two people who haven't teamed in a while. I got excited and thought it was Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. I jumped the gun. It was actually Sting and Kevin Nash.

Sting and Nash said they were about to tell the truth about the cancer in TNA when Jeff Jarrett came out on the ramp and threatened to beat them up. Hulk Hogan came out with Jeff Jarrett. They headed to the ring and there was a big staredown. The lights went out and when they came back on, Fortune beat down everyone. (Actually, when the lights went off, Hogan and Jarrett just laid down in the ring. Hogan was slow.) Fortune celebrated and then left.

* D'Angelo Dinero defeated Matt Morgan in a tournament match

* A.J. Styles pinned Tommy Dreamer

Wow. Sounds like crap. His injuries? What injuries? Overall, sounds like a lame show. Although, I hope Jeff Hardy gets the title.

I think he just wants some time off. Not sure though, I don't pay much attention to TNA. I watch Smackdown! and try to keep up with ROH. Usually fail at the second one.

Is it just me or do you think Hulk Hogan and Bischoff are behind what happened at the end of Impact. Hogan has this huge surprise that includes bring EV2 to the ring to promptly get their asses kicked by Fortune.

Apparently Rob Van Dam lost the World Heavyweight Title and is taking time off because he signed a contract with TNA for a specific number of dates for this year and partly because of using him on live events, they are running low on the number of available 2010 dates.

TNA chose to have RVD take some time off with an injury angle and hold the tournament for the World Title to have some kind of build for his return.

I'm with you. They are making all the same mistakes WCW did. I'm wating for David Arquette to win the title.

Don't even kid about that. It might make TNA a bit better. Very Happy
