Thought I would show off some of my own art. I've played around with the idea of creating a comic strip with them, but I think I would need a writer to be able to pull it off. I have the pitch and everything; I just fail at scripting.

Anyway. Here are my Cheap Heroix drawings.

Panels from the pitch:

Thanks, guys! I love drawing maps of fantastic places; I've done it since I can remember. Something about old maps and the way they're drawn just appeals to my artistic sense. I used to do all the maps for our D&D group, and when I DM'd, I always had good maps to hand out. Laughing

I would love to do a webcomic, provided I could find a scripter/writer with a sense of humor similar to mine. One day, I'll meet said person, and then watch out! Laughing

These are so cute! Esp. the little dragons!

I love Oscar. Can you make a big drawing of him just for me so I can put it on a t-shirt?

First thing I thot' of when I saw the maps was, "This guy's a gamer." And sure enuf'!
Kudos to you - that's some first-class work there!

I was never very good at mapping during a campaign, but I was really good w/ the props when I was dm'ing for DnD or TOON. Kind of a wash.

Dungeon magazine used to have some really funny single cartoons, now that I think of it. I remember this one w/ a group of travelers (dwarf, fighter, magic-user, etc.) crawling around on all fours thru' a bunch of large tubing, looking around corners w/ lit torches, etc., & one of them asks, "The DM has a pet hamster, doesn't he?"
That shit had me laughing for WEEKS!

Ooh ooh pick me! Pick me! I can write I offer this as evidence!

Although I must admit I scripted maybe 3 or 4 of the 50+ comics, but I do have a short history of doing small press work from 2000-2002!

Oh yeah, btw apparently I have done a legit webcomic in the past... "Furries on Parade" with artist Lynx Delirium/William O. Tyler (with Prism Comics). And yes the title is exactly what you think its about.

Like most've said, and sorry for the month lateness on reply, but this is a great style. It's really friendly, which is refreshing and, of course, visually appealing.

I'd have thought that TC at least would have checked out her cartoony self. Laughing

I'm thinking the premise may be a little Charlie's Angels-esque. Wink And that's all I'm saying.

Technically, this isn't art, but I was really proud of these Sims I created in Sims 3. I was going for the look of the Mystery, Inc. gang, and I think I did a pretty good job on these, particularly Velma.

Fred

Daphne

Velma

Shaggy

In these shots, Fred is a loudmouth and the gang mulls over their latest mystery:

Again, I realize that it's not strictly art, but I had nowhere else to whore for adulation and people to massage my self-esteem.
