PoP! Dating Game

In honor of Valentine's Day, we're hoping to rock some good old fashioned Eubanksian Dating Game action on the February 9th episode of the PoP!-Cast. We need volunteers to vie for the e-affection of PoP!'s own Tripper McGee and Silent K. We need three ladies and three dudes. If you're interested, let us know either here or at popcast@panelsonpages.com. You'll need to be available for the live show sometime between 10pm-12am EST on 2/9 and we'd prefer a Skype connection (go to Skype.com and check it out. It's totally free), though we CAN call your phone if need be.

I'd think Chuck Woolery was more known for Love Connection. He only hosted Dating Game from 97-99.

I know he told an off-color joke once and it got caught on film, but beyond that I don't know if he has a very scandalous history of bigotry.

Doesn't matter. Whether he knew the camera was running or not, he chose to repeat a joke that was offensive to Jews, gays, and people suffering from HIV. With all his years in interviews and in front of cameras, common fucking sense should have told him that it would be a bad idea to repeat that joke. In my opinion, he will always be tarnished by that decision.

That's not to say that people only get one fuck-up and I'm done with them. But that joke, 'innocuous' as it was, was just disgusting (to me).

I'm not saying the joke is innocuous, just that if we were all recorded any time we uttered stupid shit we'd all look like fools and assholes.

(and for the americans who don't know and thats probably all of you, Cilla black was the host of blind date which was the uk version of the dating game which ran from 1985 to 2003)
