Things you think should be an Olympic sport, whether it be summer or winter games.

Personally, I've always wondered why Tug of War is no longer a sport. That is one sport I'd love to see and it certainly is one that can be easily regulated if need be. I guess rugby and football are two other sports I'd like to see (I'm failry certain they're not). I think all sports speak to the physical aspect of the nature of sport, all the while allowing room for strategy, something that makes sports overall exciting. In short, I see no reason not to allow them, especially Tug of War.

What are some you'd want to see?

Skateboarding in the Summer Olympics. Baseball needs to go back in as well.

That's what the WBC is for, right?

American Style football. No pros. Only joes. That way we won't have to risk the pro talent getting hurt and preventing them from playing in the regular season.

It's going to take a loooong time for foreign countries to develop anything resembling a competitive American Football team. Maybe in like (no lie) 30 or 40 years or so.

I agree with the Pros v. Joes issue. The Olympics used to be amateur, and I understand why they made the switch for some sports, but with football it just wouldn't work.

Baseball needs to be put back in. The WBC was created because they new that baseball was being removed as an event.

And YES to MMA!!!

you know i could see MMA being the next sport as boxing, karate, and wrestling are already in there. the thing with MMA is you would not be able to have all the blood. The idea of the olympics is a friendly competition. So you may see MMA with head gear, padded elbow gear, along with more padding on the gloves - I believe boxing does something similar already

Sports I would like to see back - Baseball and Softball.

New sports: Golf. I would love to see a 4 man/woman scratch tournament. it could literally only take 3-4 days and in the end you would have a medal ceremony pretty much cut and dry. Motor racing. Do it LeMans style with regulated vehicles....

The problem with some sports, American football or skate boarding, is that there are not enough countries that could compete.

list of olympic sports and sports that are recognized. Evidently a sport must be recognized before it could be voted on to be official.
