Back-Issue Buys

My best pickups over the last 3 months are:

A run of iron man starting with #130 and running through the end of vol 1, plus the lousy "Heroes Reborn" shit, a couple runs of Batman (stuff that came out during my comics haitus, including the most pristine copy of the issue where Bane breaks Bat's back), the complete JRJR run from Daredevil from the late 80's early 90's- total 2.5 short boxes of stuff for $60.

At CCC I managed to score 4 obscure comics to fill in gaps in my collection- Batman: The Cult #4, Light and Darkness War #5, Alien Legion vol 2 #8 and... ap, can't remember the last one off the top of my head.

I finally got around to picking these up the other day:



They are the first 2 issues from the Pumpkinhead 4 issue arc that was canceled after the second issue back in the early 90's(released along side the sequel). I have been curious to see how good it was. I kinda wish they would do more Pumpkinhead comics since the whole movie sequel route has been kinda lame over the years.

^ I'm not a fan of the horror-movie character titles, but I'm surprised there are more characters. They're an untapped source.

Couldn't get Terra's 4 issue mini complete, so I said no thanks to that. Wish it was, though. Would've went well with this. I'll get it later.
The Light Brigade #1-4 (Obscure series by Tomasi. Buck an ish, so I thought I'd give it a try.)

Just got these today. So excited to start cracking these babies open.

I just got (in no order at all) Witchblade #1, Toxin #1-6, Creech 1-3, Fighting American (Awesome Comics)1-2, Fighting American: Rules Of The Game #1-3, Pitt #9-20, some issues to finish my Ash collection, and Soul Saga #2-5. Yea, I have been in a mostly Image kick lately

I have The Creech in trade. Cool little, self-contained mini. Things hard to find. Even my trade was hard to get.

Huh. Just found out it had a 3-issue sequel mini called Out for Blood. I need to get that.

Looking forward to read The Creech. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the first Fighting American by Liefeld

TMNT stuff--official series--always seemed like a fun title to hunt because of the difficulty in trying to find it. Like The Tick comics.

The coup de grâce ("blow of mercy")...

Finally found it. The first issue of the first series featuring Ted Kord as the Blue Beetle, and the first appearance of Ditko's The Question, Charles Victor Szasz.

The taste of completion...overwhelmingly delicious...so close to finishing pinnacle issues of The Question. Blue Beetle (5th series) #2-6, here I come. Oh, and the toughest to find, oddly, is Mysterious Suspense #1. A failed, one-issue series that featured Question for his first full-length story. Neeeeeeeeeeeed!

In my excitment I almost forgot one series...

All seven issues of Mike Allred's oddball series. (Course, aren't all Allred's books oddball?) Each issue is in a very cool vinyl album-esque format.

Just picked up an original run of Grimm Fairy Tales #1-5 for $2.99 apiece.

Also nabbed Witchblade #1 and 10 for $2.50 each.

I plan on selling the hell out of them.
