Highland Laddie #4 - Oh man I was relieved to read Hughie apologising for the stuff he said to Annie. I don't care what he thought of her or what she did, you just don't say those things and I'm glad also that she let him have it for saying them.

The Boys #Fifty

I thought this issue was fantastic - gave some real insight into the history of The Boys and it was not pretty. More evidence that Homelander is a complete freak (not that we needed it) and some really interesting background to Maeve's involvement with The Boys. She's an interesting character and she was definitely a character I thought was pretty one dimensional previously - now we get to see why she is a drunk. Great work as always from Ennis.

Highland Laddie #6 - Well, it was great to see Hughie and Annie reconcile but I can't help think everything is going to go to shit when Annie eventually finds out the truth about what Hughie does. I can no longer see this ending any way but tragically.

I quite enjoyed this series - it was great character development stuff for Hughie and it resolved the Annie/Hughie relationship issues so I think it achieved a lot. Oh and then the big surprise at the end that I certainly didn't see coming.
