Since I shared with you my favorite Disney movie, I'd share my love for my favorite X-Men Character, Storm

No idea why, but I've loved Storm since I first saw her in the 90's TV show, and that's what really got me into the X-Men comics

II dunno why, but her being a goddess has a huge part in it - this woman can control the weather... I'd take that over a healing factor and claws in a heartbeat.

Ororo's just a classy, strong woman and I think she's fantastic.

Now seeing as you say you first saw Storm in the 90's via the cartoon show, I guess I may already know the answer to this question, but do you perfer mohawk 80's Storm or full hair Storm?

I loved 80's Storm with the mohawk a lot. I remember liking the character but I like what she's evolved to as well. I think my favorite time for her look-wise was also in the 90's animated show. I just really liked her look a lot. I think she looks good now too but there was something about her look and attitude in the 80's that was just completely awesome.

I'm actually totally torn. I LOVE her mohawk look, but for me the best Storm versions are when her hair is so unnaturally long you're like, "Really? That hasn't been caught in a jet turbine yet?"

I love me some Storm. I grew up on the 90s X-Men cartoon so naturally all the main characters from that show hold a special place in my heart. But they really need to bring Storm back to the forefront and back to the basics. She hasn't been used effectively in the comics for years, and I hate to say it but I think the marriage has really hampered her.

Amen... I miss the Storm that was second, nearly first in command of hte X-Men... Sure I like the fact she's Queen of Wakanda, but they seem to be stripping her of her leader qualities and awesomeness... Just IMHO

Agreed.

She still needs to be the queen, but come on. Take names and stomp some faces.

Even throw in some lightning or something :P

I pretty much lost track of her when she got married. I would love to have her come back into the limelight again.

I definitely agree. When they married Black Pather and Storm, I thought wow! That actually makes sense. He's the king of Wakanda, and she's a goddess from Kenya. That's a match. And after years and years of poor Ororo being matched with the man who took her power, Forge aka The Maker, and Bishop (kind-of, they never really went there though)...Storm was due for some real love.

But now she's no longer the BIG character she once was. I wish she would re-take the throne of X. How about another Cyclops vs. Storm match-up? or better Emma vs. Storm?

Who doesn't like Storm? She's best when she's exerting her intelligence. I would love for the X-Men to split. Emma and Scott, Iceman, Angel, Psylocke, Hellion and Namor in one camp, and Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Beast, Shadowcat, Rogue and Gambit in the other...with a bottle royal ha

I'd LOVE to see another Storm VS Emma fight, going back to their fight when Storm was White Queen... :P

And I do approve of the battle royale idea!

I hope you're kidding. Nothing about that marriage made sense. Their only connection was that they were two black characters from Africa. That had to be possibly the most forced relationship in comics history.

Hm... I didn't think it was FORCED, I thought it was just like, Oh look, two powerful black characters. Make them a couple!

But I do think a goddess and a king made a pretty decent couple

That's a pretty piss poor reason to have them together. There was no natural build up. They went with the 'wow' moment first and then tried to build a story out of it. The whole thing just seemed laughable

I'd love to see a prominent divorce or something between her and T'Challa. That's something you don't really see in comics, it would be ballsy and interesting.

You know who I always loved seeing Storm coupled with? Logan. Its only really happened in like alternate realities/futures and kinda hinted at in the main universe, but I think they would be perfect for eachother. Of course it would never work, but that's the beauty of it lol.

Divorce doesn't happen at Marvel.

In all honesty, I really, REALLY don't like Wolverine. At all. Like, not even a little bit; I always saw him as a loner, who's only true love was Mariko.

You may be right, but I think he's had some real feelings of love for other women too like Silver Fox and Jeannie. His love for Storm may be more in a friendship sense, but I feel like a bit more is there and been hinted at.

Yes, the marriage was forced in the way that there wasn't much organic build-up (like a good Avengers/X-Men team-up where they courted) and the wedding seem to happen suddenly (like in the middle of the Civil War story--awkward ceremony!)

But I still thought, oh yeah! Storm and Black Panther would match up well, especially in comparison with Forge, who she had major baggage with and Bishop, the ultra-serious gun carrying man.

Besides, the most forced relationship in the Marvel Universe would definitely be Scott Summers and Emma Frost. I don't like Emma on the X-Men and her relationship with Cyclops just feels wrong. What, he only dates telepaths? It makes his persona seem weird, but then again, this whole relationship with Madelyne Pryor was super-weird too! HA

Is Cyclops just a douchebag? I think, this is why I prefer Storm as the leader of the X-Men to Cyclops. Storm has always been the better leader, in my personal opinion. She definitely knows how to handle Wolverine better than him.

That's only because she possesses Wolverine's one weakness. Vagina.

Dunno how you could call Scott and Emma's relationship "forced" though. Their relationship built up slowly during Morrison's New X-Men run. They got caught in a psychic "affair" by Jean and everything.
