The demon creature is malyraymon. The taller pony tail guy is Ehud (birth name) but goes by a few different ones (you'd have to check out the story line to get it) And the devil girl..is...um...oh who am i kiddin' she just thrown in for the T & A factor. :pirat:

BTW I'm totally looking for writers who need an artist. This little bit of work here doesn't even come close to showing what I'm really capable of so feel free to ask for other samples or specific styles (anything from cartoonie to realistic is not out of the question). Thanks for giving me the 10 seconds it took to read this.

Here's a page I finished last night. I'm really not all that happy with it. I think the 3 silent panels before the last close up panel slow down the page too much. And Does anyone have advice on how to clean up the page split. This happens everytime I scan the page and I'm not sure how to correct it.
And yes...panel 2 and 3 are leaning a bit. Beer and rulers don't mix

Thanks.

Ehud is a hebrew name (or so the writer tells me). The story for this character starts in biblical times when he was a child. As the story progresses he comes into possession of the nails that were used to hang christ which in turn was made into a knife. (This knife grants hims certain abilities (in essence turns him into a lean mean demon hunting machine. along with the new found abilities he seems almost ageless by aging at a rate of about 1 year for every 100 years that pass) So once we hit the present day story arc he will appear to only be in his mid thirties having lived thousands of years. Anyways...I'm glad you like. I should have alot better looking stuff in the near future.

Yes, obviously i know the sources for this name. I just wondered why non-Israeli writer will use this name. Sounds good.

Sadly, nowadays this name comes with some bad connotations...

Really...I had no idea. I never bothered asking him why he chose the name. Being as the story's origin is set in the middle east it only made sense to me that he'd use a hebrew name.

This page I penciled, inked, and colored Sunday. I of course screwed up and didn't save enough times so the typos are stuck there for now.

Actually I think that background pick is somewhere in the UK...but it does look alot like the French Quarter. Took the easy way out for a background and used some stock photo.

I think you should work a bit on your coloring, it's too dark (and I like dark) and doesn't seem natural. Otherwise, you're good.

Ok cool...I'm sure you're referring to the actual colors and not the use of chiaroscuro in the Hellboy pic. The Hellboy is actually a painting (Acrylics and Ink on cardboard)and this morning I scanned it into photoshop and used the burn tool on it to darken the black and I think I went over board. Thanks for the comment.

I actually meant the Hellboy piece too, but now that I know how you made it, then it was probably a bad idea (using burn tool, that is).

Yeah. Using the burn tool was dumb. I'll get it fixed up nice and proper one of these days.

That clown pic is genuinely disturbing.
Like if it were up to the Joker to paint Pennywise, or John Wayne Gacy.
Nice job! thumbs up

Thanks Top! Btw...Gacy's clowns looked nothing like that. His were pretty much just paintings of clown you'd find at like Ringling brothers or something Very Happy

Oh, yah, I know that! (That's one of my other "creepy" avatars Wink)

What I meant was, if Gacy had asked the Joker to do his make-up, your clown is what he
might've looked like.

I loved the pencils, but the colors look a bit too solid for my taste. Otherwise the inks look good!
