Cool. I hope it airs on TV, but I don't think it will. Anime used to be on all the time, but in the last few years hardly any airs.

That actually sounds really cool. Not sure if I'd ever get it, but a cool idea, none the less. That was always the weakest part of Drag-On Ball Z.

^ Totally. That means, by that summing, the series is roughly between a half or a third as long as it originally was.

There's only a few things I'd want changed

1. Vegeta's Color in the early episodes when he's not on earth.

2. Raditz Saying "Our home planet was destroyed 30 years ago." instead of 3.

3. The Garlic Jr. Saga to be gone.

4. When Goku is fighting Android 19 and Gohan hasn't arrived yet...they focus on Piccolo and it seems he thinks "Way to go, Dad." in Gohan's voice..yeah that needs to be gone too.

I think that's pretty much it for me.

I mean I understand taking a little while to "power up".

I also understand the Planet Namek not exploding at exactly the time Frieza said it would. Maybe he was mistaken on how tough the planet was and didn't use enough power. I mean really That bit of energy was way smaller than the one he used to destroy Planet Vegeta. Seems to me he was a little over confident in his power.

3. The Garlic Jr. Saga to be gone.

thats definatly happening all filler is gone. If it didn't happen in the manga it won't happen in kai

I'm really starting to look forward to this. I love DBZ as is, but I do admit that at times it really did drag on. It's great that all that'll be cut out. I just learned that I'll air on Nicktoons starting in May. I was quite shocked, but I'm happy. I'll probably hold off on the DVDs for now, and watch it on TV, but I'm sure I'll eventually get them.

It's an edited Dragon Ball Z (not in a bad way). It gets rid of all the excess stuff to make it more like the manga. So, we don't have to watch characters stand around posturing for minutes/episodes on end.

This sounds cool.
I love the original....but i agree that an entire episode of "charging up" is ridiculous.
I remember watching it when i was little, and my dad asking.
"Do they do anything else in this show other than stand in one spot and scream?"
Laughing
And there were alot of constipation jokes from my older brothers. shake my head

^ Hehe. Starts May 24th on Nicktoons here in the States. Probably'll be edited, though. Still haven't seen the missing episode of Krillin on Frieza's (Lvl. 2) horn the entire episode.

On April 6th, FUNimation revealed more news regarding the dub. The series will be edited on Nicktoons to fit the expected audience, and will occasionally contain different verbiage than the home release, which will be entirely unedited. Most character attacks will regain their correct and untranslated-proper-noun announcements in the unedited dub (Makankōsappō, Kienzan, etc). Some other names that have always been engraved in the English dub will remain the same (namely the pronunciation of "Saiyan", Tenshinhan's adapted name "Tien", etc.). Dialogue is being treated with much more respect than ever before for an English dub of a Dragon Ball product. Lastly, episode titles are also faithful translations of their original Japanese versions.

Voices Recast:
Gohan: Colleen Clinkenbeard

Bulma: Monica Rial

Narrator: Doc Morgan

Chiaotzu and Puar: Brina Palencia

Supposedly Season 1 Part 1 will be released on DVD May 18th.

I am getting SOOOOO excited for this. I think this is going to make me love DBZ even more. I've always loved it, but the waiting around for characters to power up and things like that was a pain. I think one of the reasons I like Dragon Ball more than DBZ is because you don't have them posturing and powering up like you do in DBZ.

Am I the only one who liked Garlic, Jr.? guilty He was the only one to actually wish for immortality. Is he the only smart villain? Wink Course, he was stupid enought to open the Dead Zone...twice. Rolling Eyes

^No, I actually liked Garlic Jr.

In addition to liking the character, I liked how during his saga Piccolo was featured heavily. He's my favorite DBZ character.
