What Anime are you Watching?

Right now at my Anime Club, we've been watching and loving Blade of the Immortal and the new Hokuto no Ken starring Raoh of Fist of the Northstar fame.

I've been watching "Ghost Hunt".

You're thinking of GHOST HUNTERS.
There's an anime that's just called "Ghost Hunt". Jeez.

I still vascillate between older faves, like Hellsing, GITS: SAC, NGE, Cowboy Bebop,
Full Metal Alchemist, and Noir.
Every time I lend them out to someone & get them hooked, I end up wanting to re-watch them myself... you know how it is.

Oh, I loves the Bebop and Hellsing. I don't really care for a lot of the newer stuff being put out here. There's a few that are in Japan right now thought that I'm crossing my fingers for to get released here.

Have you seen "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" yet?
If you're a fan of Hellsing, you'll *definitely* want to check this one out - if you
haven't already.

Indeed. I'm just happy we're getting Shigurui: Death Frenzy and History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi.

Nothing right now. Big Cowboy Bebop, Vampire Hunter D, and Outlaw Star. Speaking of C.S. & O.S., I wanna see Wolf's Rain and Angel Links so badly.

As for new...no, nothing.

I actually preferred Angel Links to Outlaw Star. Then again, the only thing I really loved about O.S. was Twilight Suzuka. Aisha was great, but I loved Suzuka.

I watch the guyver or vampire hunter d once a week...

I got my eye on Gankutsuou next. There's a box set being released at the end of this month.

Bleach
I don't have time to watch others, which is depressing sometimes. I'm used to watching two or three series at a time (but not all at one time *confuses someone with this*).

I have just rediscovered my love for Dragon Ball and DBZ. It's been a while since I've watched either of them and I forgot how awesome they are.

I'm also showing Street Fighter some love by re watching Street Fighter 2 V. Death note is also a nice gem, I can't wait for the whole box set to come out. A lot of people don't realize what an expensive hobby anime is, just about any DVD is around $20 bucks or more. You're better off downloading or buying box sets if you must have actual copies.

is the movie that is out worth the price of admission?

Just finished IGPX, Trigun, and Gundam 00. Now I'm getting back into Black Lagoon, and I'm also watching the new Fullmetal Alchemist, and waiting for the english dub of Guyver to finish downloading.

Are you downloading the guyver TV series that had like 27 episodes? Or the OVA?

Yeah that was pretty good. they had pretty good production values on that one. I really hope they get another season...

Best bets are to either wait for boxsets or for sales in December and January from places like RightStuf.com where DVDs are like $2 a pop. I get a lot of my anime on the cheap from AnotherHeaven.biz.

AFAIK, the live action film isn't out yet. However, the live action piece really shouldn't be compared to the animated series as they differ drastically. The film is more like a teen drama with martial arts (from the previews I've seen) while the animated series is very big budget breakneck action with over-the-top fighting. Also, Dragon Ball is a fantasy series involving magic, science, and martial arts mythology while Dragon Ball Z is a continuation of the series towards more action and less adventure. I know very little about Dragon Ball GT as I've heard very negative reviews of it except it tries to meld the worlds of Dragon Ball and DBZ together.
