I figured I would start up this thread for the clone of Wolverine. Has anyone read this yet? I read the first three issues and it was okay.

I loooovvvveeee X-23!! I read issues 1-3 and I enjoyed them. I think the reason I like her sooo much is her backstory....she is completely nuts Laughing

I got this collected volume. All three issues for $3.99 and I checked out #4. Laura seems like an interesting character for the most part. She reminds me of Cassandra Cain a bit. I will say there were things I didn't get because I don't read the X-Universe. Overall though, it was interesting.

Well issue #1 goes into pretty good detail of her back story. It was nice to see her pop her claws in issue 4 Laughing

I like her backstory a lot. One of the more interesting Marvel characters in my opinion.

I will admit I am a total guy when it comes to female comic book characters. If they are good looking then I am interested in them. I saw her on the cover of issue #1 and was like "wow I like her" and then I started reading and then read her backstory and was all I love you Now her half-brother Daken next to Batman is my #1 guy in comics.

I have not read Daken at all although the whole "Dark Reign" stuff at Marvel is what moved me away from Marvel in the first place. I like this story though. X-23 is more or less a young girl who is trying to figure out who she is and what should she become and it's interesting.

If you like X-23's back story Daken is almost just as good. There both kind of in the same situation of "finding themselves". But Daken is a complete ass, but he is so smooth and confident about it, it just makes you really like him. If you have a chance check out Daken's back story.

You can pick up issues 1-4 at your comic shop. I just got issue #4 yesterday. It is Daken: Dark Wolverine. I believe it takes places after he was a Dark Avenger, but don't quote me on that...I am still a comic n00b Laughing

I just looked up the wiki of Daken's back story...don't read that it is too long. Just pick up issue #1 and the back of the issue will give you a run down of Daken.

Ok. Read "Dark Wolverine". Eh. Not bad. Not my thing though. X-23 is cool though.

X-23 is an interesting if kind of a generic character. It's nothing personal to the type but it seems to me that the "damaged chick" has become a very generic, almost cookie-cutter type character. For that reason, I'm not always drawn to these types of characters so it takes something very interesting to make me think twice about this type of character. The Cassandra Cain Batgirl is a great example of this type of character that I enjoyed. I am curious to follow X-23 on her journey and while I was feeling a bit lost when it came to "X-Men" plots like the kid with no hands, this was a good read.

I am all about a damage character, the more damage the better. Her back story is so interesting that they can really do anything with her. Plus you never truely know what side of good and bad she is on.

There are so many subplots to X-Men I can't keep up with them. Laughing

Spaced, if you haven't read them you should check out the two X-23 miniseries by Craig Kyle and Chris Yost. Both are really good.

Both her minis are great! I recommend getting them, and her current series. Really enjoying Gambit in this, too, I think he's been portrayed better here than he has in other books recently.
