Toyfare is the saddest part of this because Wizard's been dead for a while now.

I wonder if issue 163 is the last one or if we'll see 164.

It seems like not another drop of ink will touch another piece of paper.

If they're going to go all digital, what's the point of laying everyone off?

Dummies.

Cheap(er) labor, I'd assume.

How much did you get paid to write for Wizard's website?

"I just got a new job writing for Wizard's new site!"

"Great! How much how is your salary?"

"They're paying me in gum! Trident Layers, the gum with layers of flavors!"

So is Toyfare toast as well? Early reports had Toyfare sticking around.

I must say, it was a swift kick in balls to wake up from a crappy sleep to read that my favorite magazine is shutting down.

Toyfare, thank you for all the laughs and all the fun. It was the only magazine I ever felt was perfectly for me, I'll miss it so much.

So long Mego Spidey.

And those weren't even really from Wizard. They were just laying around and Jim offered them up himself.

Thoughts go out to guys like Andy Serwin, Justin Aclin and Dan Reilly, and friends who were depending on some of that freelance cash. I'm about as unsurprised as they come about how this was all handled.

RIP Toyfare,

It seems wierd, I just bought the new Twisted Toyfare Theater trade. I just got the latest issue not to long ago.

The magazine, which looked to have went through some cosmetic changes, was one of the best issues since it cut pages.

If they are coming out with a new site, who knows maybe a new WUMB, then I hope it keeps some of what made Toyfare great.
