Mark Millar And Steve McNiven’s New Marvel Project: Nemesis

1/ We’re doing this for Marvel.

2/ The main character driving this is in the name.

3/ It’s going to be awesome and very big indeed.

Next month Steve and I will be doing a massive interview for this and releasing the cover image plus maybe some interior pages too. You will like these A LOT. McNiv has a more Travis Charest style lined up for this project and it’s just incredible. He’s doing the best work of his career here.

Civil War was good, Old Man Logan was better, but Nemesis will be the best of the lot.

We’re very excited.

I think I'll give it a chance. I have decided to be open to reading new books and learning about more characters recently. I have loved the new fantastic 4 stuff, I liked secret warriors, I even have been reading some of the Dark Reign stuff. I'll try it, but i'll totally speak out if I think it sucks, you know without pre-judging and all.

oh i know, I've also been in Iraq, Kuwait, Bosnia. i was just saying I know. The army kept me in that hemisphere quite a bit.

Same here. Like them individually they should work well together.

what is the idea of this story?

The rumor is that it's going to be a Miracleman/Marvelman book. It may even be a retelling of the original Alan Moore stories

Millar wrote the script for that game and I know it was supposed to be incorporated into the MU in some way back then, but... yuck.

If the rumor about Mirackeman is true, looks like Marvel will indeed fuck the character.

Anything with Millar on it is a must buy for me. I know not too many of you can say that but oh well. lol

I agree with the *yawn*. I usually like Millar but that really has no interest to me. When I read that news I actually thought

"so all that hype was for some creator owned reverse Batman villain? meh"

So Millar's vision of a guy with Batman's abilities and intellect, but with the Joker's sensibilities? Plus drawn by Steve McNiven? I'll be checking it out.

I didn't expect to get this but it was too good pass up. Holy crap.

This was fun, from the plot in Japan to Air Force One. The matchup between Nemesis and the DC police chief should be pretty awesome. I mean, its a Millar creator-owned project so you know you're gonna see something crazy from that Scottish bastard.

And the art by McNiven is fantastic as usual. He's using a different style in this, going without his usual inker. I think it gives the book a really nice look.

I almost didn't get this, but I'm so glad that I did. I'm debating about continuing to buy it monthly or just wait for the trade.

3 X 4 is cheaper than what it will be. But trade will look better.
