Kick-Ass

Kick-Ass is an ongoing, creator-owned, American comic book series written by Mark Millar and illustrated by John Romita, Jr. It is published by Marvel Comics under the company's Icon imprint. It dramatically satirizes comic book tropes and superhero conventions.

This books is so awesome!!! Totally digging this!

Didn't see a thread on here so I posted one.

I'm enjoying it a lot. I just wish it came out more regularly.

There isn't a sixth issue for it yet.

Millar's working on the movie too much to finish the first story in the comics. The absurdity of this has not eluded me. We very well may see the end of this story on film before in print.

I have a feeling the success of Wanted is going to greatly limit the amount of comics Millar puts out a year, and he wasn't exactly setting records before.

Also, a part of the flick is going to be animated, and JRJR is doing the directing for it. That, combined with Marvel pulling him off to do various Amazing Spider-Man arcs, also adds to the delay.

My whole thing is,It feels like We don't know much about the series.We only have a few issues(that are amazing)
yet we only know so much about Kick Ass and nothing about the others,But there is a movie being made.It's crazy but i love millar

I call bullshit on this series, it itself is great, and they're doing a film on it but I'm not psyched about it because Wanted hardly resembled the comic. I enjoy Wanted as a film all by itself that has shit to do with the comics.

Everything I've seen thus far makes this movie look pretty damn faithful, right down to the horrible tacky costumes they wear.






Hell, I learned Big Daddy and Hit Girl's names and origins by reading movie news months before the comic with that info hit shelves.

The costumes look and scenes look faithful. As in, the costumes look shoddy, like they should. Wanted really looked nothing like the book in stills or previews of any kind other than the main character was a gunsmith.

I keep thinking, he creates a script, and... A comic is basically a glorified storyboard. Why the hell can't he keep up with the comic? I mean, is it the artist?

I know I get sidetracked by projects, but ya know, I eventually finish them! Even if it means abruptly ending it!
