Bendis writing Doom? Again?

Siege Eww
Do not want. I am looking forward to the end of Dark Reign (Norman-wank) and the start of the Avengers Academy, but this worries me as a Doom fan.

I actually think Bendis has Doom's voice down really good, his dialogue has the right amount of arrogance mixed with a twisted sense of nobility.

I hear you though cuz I'm guessing you're thinking about how Doom was treated in the Morgan Le Fay arc in Dark Avengers...but I got a feeling he will be come out pretty great in this story.

More like his treatment in Mighty Avengers when he was clowned by Sentry but that example as well. Doom is not shown to be a planner in either of these showings, one of the main things that examplifies Doom. I'm not saying Doom should win all the time or anything of the sort, but at least have operate at the fullest of his abilities. When Bendis writes Doom, I feel as if one could replace Doom with a standard megalomaniacal villain and none would be the wiser. The thing that makes Doom Doom is missing.

Yeah I hear you. I feel like Sentry is such a wild card though that nobody really knows what to make of him. So I sort of understand Doom not quite being prepared for that particular instance.

Actually I said? Why the fuck are namor and emma frost there. I could actually reason namor at some point, but I would invision Magneto, Apocalypse, Sinister, even Selene, instead of somebody that has been a good guy for basically the last 15 years. Just her presense from the begining said, "Oh noes, what the fuck is going to happen? Oh yeah, emma isn't really a bad guy, oh and Namor isn't either." I think having them there made it much more predictable.

Yeah we know if you get all the sinister people in the world together that they are going to screw each other over for other motives in a heart beat, hell even the Hood's gang is pulling that crap. But This ending is somewhat predictable, but the character development that some have gotten out of dark reign is what made it resonably worth reading. (Yes, Doom did get screwed for the most part in that department.)

I'm with you on both counts. Maria Hill has become an excellent character and Hand could be the same. She's certainly got some attitude. I'm still a bit suspicious there may be more to her than meets the eye.

Maria Hill, Abigail Brand and Victoria Hand in a Gotham City Sirens-like book, only about espionage?

Wanda: Crazy manipulates dumb and crazy? Sure, I can see that.

Beyonder: No way Norman can manipulate this guy.

Who's the Nord old man? Odin? Again, no.

Purple Man (it's him, right?): They can work together, but no way Norman will let himself into business with a murderous, unexpected telepath.

Thanos: Again, Norman is the weaker link here.

Mephisto: That'll be a bad move here. By Marvel, I mean. They've already done enough damage associated with this demon.

Nate Grey: I know he's coming back and sure Bendis can make something up about him returning not as himself and being easily manipulated by Osborn, especially upon returning to a world completely different than the one he left.

Going left to right clockwise:

Odin, supposed to be dead.

Beyonder, who knows, they guy is like half Inhuman and half Cosmic Cube or something ridiculous like that.

Scarlet Witch, is she even powered, we've seen her a couple of times since M-Day and she seemed to be happy living a normal human life.

Thanos, dead since Annihilations, plus he's got the Infinity Gauntlet on, which is impossible thanks to the Living Tribunal.

Mephisto, makes the most sense out of all of the people on that screen.

X-man/Nate Grey, always had an attitude but was one of the good guys, he'd read Norman's mind and laugh at his offer to join him.

Moleculeman, don't know why he'd bother to help Norman, he can do anything he wants as it is.
