I've always liked the concept of Molecule Man's powers. I've often thought he could easily be the most powerful villain in the MU however that is offset by his mental problems which are also seen in this issue. And it makes sense that someone so powerful may not be able to cope with it. I'm not sure that Reese's fear of Reed Richards is so much to do with Reed's reputation - I think it's more to do with Reese's innate fear of failure and the fact that he knows he's weak mentally and has been defeated many times before. I think he's an interesting character - incredibly powerful yet he's a very weak man.Bigtymin504 wrote:Dark Avengers #11
Molecule Man is one powerful mofo!
Wow, the things he was able to do in this issue were damn impressive...you don't see a lot of that in modern comics. His chat with Norman was really interesting, not to mention his choice of friends he created for himself. And I find it kinda funny how, despite all his power, MM still fears that Reed Richards will come and somehow imprison him someday. Sort of shows the kind of reputation Reed has with these cosmically powerful beings, and deservedly so.
I also really liked MM's interaction with Sentry, he seemed impressed and perplexed with the true nature of Sentry. I can't wait till we find out! Oh and I was glad to see Victoria Hand get a little spotlight here...plus we found out that she's a lesbian with a hot ex-girlfriend.

Man, Victoria Hand's girlfriend did not give her a chance at all when she screwed up. Way to go standing by your girl when she makes a mistake, bitch!

Interesting way of looking at it. I guess I always looked at it that he controlled the molecules themselves so I never really saw that he used some sort of energy to do that but, when you think about it, it must be some sort of psychic energy he's using.Dr. Wade Fucking McNasty wrote:
I'm curious, what form of energy does he utilize to exer control over other things? It seems like if this is ever figured out, this could lead to his downfall. And in short, I liked this issue. "That is angry water".

Anyhow, Bachalo's art is REALLY growing on me. I feel he's changed his style a BIT from the Generation X days where I found his art very hard to sort through, but I think it's more about my broadening taste.
The interplay between Sentry and Marvel Boy was REALLY nifty, I thought. I love Sentry as Norman's lapdog, almost unquestioning in following Osborn whereas he's so unsure of everything else, and here's Norman, the one dude he SHOULDN'T trust. I would REALLY love for an eventual reveal that Sentry was playing Osborn. When you finally have Cap or Tony or someone come back, and they Sentry sides with them, and Osborn says "I thought you were on my side Bob. I thought we were a team. I thought you were a hero" and Sentry says "I may not always know what's what, but I'm not crazy enough to think you're the hero here."
