This is a rant. Feel free to chime in, but I'm not looking for reasonable explanations, suggestions, or solutions. I just want to vent and rant for a while.

This convention season SUCKS. WWTX and CAPE have been cancelled, and Dallas Comic-Con's April show is pathetic compared with some of their other shows. I might be more excited about the April show if my dick got hard for BSG, but it doesn't and I'm not. A-Kon might be an option, were I more heavily into anime and cosplay. But I'm not. So that leaves a grand total of...one possible convention this year. (DCC's October Con, but that's generally Star Wars Fan Days, another thing I'm not uber-nerdy about.)

I don't have the money to travel to get my con fix, and there's nothing from any direction that sounds like things are going to change around here any time soon. So, think of me when you're all sitting around drinking and singing raucous drinking songs whose lyrics have been altered to make them about WUMB/PoPers. I'll be raising a glass for you guys, and recalling bygone days of fun and excitement.

On the one positive side, I guess that's money we won't be spending this year. At least not at cons.

Thanks for reminding me, Doug. I just requested a press pass for FX!

Bleh, I hear ya. ACEN's line up of guests is severely lacking at this point. It's almost to the point where I want to branch out and go to anime cons out of state, but it's just the whole convenience of having it within a reasonable driving distance, ya know?
