I am SOOOO excited for this. Daredevil is my favorite Marvel character.

The inclusion of Moon Knight and Iron Fist has me jazzed. I always thought that DD, MK, and Iron Fist together would be awesome.

Yeah Iron Fist is awesome. And I love the direction Diggle is taking Daredevil, its about time we get a street-level battle like this.

I'm just such a fan of street level heroes that I'm positively giddy for this.

Now I'm wondering why Hawkeye never became a street level hero. He's always seen in Avengers but not much else (I know he had his own series but given his nature, his character, and his strong personal convictions this seemedlike a foregone conclusion).

That said, who would you like to see added to the street level scene? I feel that with the size of New York, let alone using other cities as a backdrop, one could create a whole encompassing series that looks at street level heroes, let alone the heroes already in their individual books. And yes, while there was Marvel Knights, it seems quite limited. I wouldn't mind seeing Echo return as Ronin, possibly playing double agent to the mob, Echo the hit-woman and Ronin the superhero, akin to Ultimate Moon Knight. While the story has been told, it would make for an intersting jumping on point due to the fact that Echo does not have a mental illlness.

And finally, is that some Punisher? I read some of the mess that was Frankencastle and have grown to ignore it. If Punisher is back, that rocks, but I feel that they should make his hunting ground a more mobile one, and take him to different locales rather than keeping him to NYC only.

^I've wondered the same thing about Hawkeye.

I'd love to see both Hawkeye and Mockingbird added to the street level scene. Also, I'd like to see more of Spider-Woman at the street level.

Agreed with Bats, Aussie. Its a great time to just jump onto Daredevil right now with Andy Diggle's run starting on #501. You can really just start from #500 (awesome cap to Bru's run btw) and go from there. Also, check out the Dark Reign: The List - Daredevil one-shot cuz its the prelude to Diggle's run.

This does look good, now I dunno if I should wait for the nice hardcover version or get the floppies... I'm thinking trade for now...

That's criminal. I would strongly suggest getting both Bendis' and Brubaker's runs. They are both fantastic. You don't need them to understand what's going on now though, and Diggle's work is just as good. It's just that Bendis and Brubaker had such great runs it would be a shame not to read them.

That is one cool cover. Its good to see the Punisher not as a Frankensteined cyborg thingy.

Indeed. This is part of the reasn why I felt that Frankencastle should have been a seperate, new character as opposed to Frank Castle. Maybe some imperfect clone or something. The character is such a departure from what he was before, there's no reason to make it the same person.

How are they even going to retcon that? The Punisher could have been such a badass in the Siege tie-ins. Even though his death on the roof was pretty wicked in the whole Dark Reign arc, i feel like ole' Frank got screwed. Im picking up the last issue that came out last week this Wednesday hopefully this Halloween type story is closing in on an ending.

No clue. The pessimist in me says they will do something silly and then call us silly fanboys for not liking what they did, the other peesimist in me says that they will simply have him show up and not explain anything. The optimist in me doesn't seem to care and is rejoicing the end of Frankencastle. In short, I'm not sure. I'm fairly sure it won't be touched upon heavily. Diggle seems to tbe the kind of guy that would like to use classic Punisher so I'm guessing Punisher will show up normal here while Frankencastle will continue. In other words, "Marvel continuity" (damn, the pessimist snuck again ). I have high hopes for this since it is Diggle. Here's hoping they give him fairly free reign with this. Daredevil tends to work best that way.
