Also, I just found out that Gaiman may be starting a kid's book series, being that he has a new kid's book out called Odd and the Frost Giants and said that he'd like to have further stories with the character.

With a voucher I got for my birthday today I picked up The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon and Transition by Ian Banks.

I'm a bit behind in my reading so mightn't get to these for a little bit.

Got this today. I guess it goes more in depth into the history of the band than what got covered in the documentary.

I broke down and bought WWZ, because it's gonna be a month till I can get it from the library.

I also got some gorgeous old hardbacks. They're collections of American and Scottish love poems.

Just got Star Wars Legacy of the Force: Betrayal by Aaron Allston on Wednesday.




The only other Star Wars book I've read was the Revenge of the Sith novelization. I loved it, but I haven't read any other books since (and I read that when it came out in 2005). I did get Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader by James Luceno a few years ago, but I have yet to read it.

I wanted to start reading the Legacy of the Force books a few years ago when I saw one for sale at the college bookstore I work for, but after asking if it would be a good place to start back on the WUMB I was told not to start there. I fully planned to take the suggestions give to me, but I got caught up in other books and kinda forgot. Then on Tuesday, a new Star Wars book came into where I work. It was Fate of the Jedi: Backlash by Aaron Allston. I read the first chapter and I really really liked it. I didn't know all the history of what had happened between Episode 6 and then, but I still liked it. So, I decided I'd pick up a Star Wars book. I looked at the list of Star Wars books in the front of that book and saw that this series was the one after Legacy of the Force, so I just decided to start with that. I almost went back to the New Jedi Order, but honestly I didn't want to go that far back. If I end up loving Legacy of the Force and Fate of the Jedi then I will go back.
