Not a fact. Barely subjective. Social commentary, clever humor, and good story telling through weird scifi settings of all imaginings, which is poked at itself. Plus, the entire series' being planned out from the get-go. If you look real hard during the first episode, you can clearly see Nibbler's shadow. The show and it's future was planned well in advance, and it shows. In most cases, when measuring quantity and quality, it is even better than The Simpsons.

Of course, T-Matts will show his disdain for The Simpsons, a praised and successful series for the past 2 decades, because...well, he's T-Matts.

To be fair, The Simpsons stopped being good roughly a decade or so ago. Futurama, however, was solid good from its first to its last episode.

Cause it was aired on adult swim and don't you know that anything aired on there is Jesus.....

I loved the show when it first came to be.. Just like I liked Family Guy when it was first on.. I am not harping on adult swim I love alot of the orginal shows they have on there. Its just that everything that is on that will become popular to the masses and they will be on its balls till it is no longer shown there..

Fixed. And that was kind of what I was getting at with quality/quantity. Futurama is pretty solid.

I agree with half of that. Certain shows that suck are considered awesome: Tim and Eric's Awesome Show (I think that's the title), Tom Goes to the Mayor, Home Movies, Saul of the Mole Men...etc. They're terrible, but people say they're so original. Absurdist humor isn't new, and with that type of humor, it is nothing but timing, unlike most comedy. Don't wanna get into it. Rant over.

Tim ans Eric Awesome Show Great Job is easily in top three Adult Swim shows ever. Home Movies, as well. Home Movies isn't even absurdist, it's actually smart and charming.

Lots of great shows are canceled and lots of shitty shows are given years to infect the airwaves. Cancellation is hardly an accurate indicator of a show's quality.

And Home Movies is the best show that wasn't canceled on another network to air on Adult Swim.

Never liked it. Just like Dr. Katz. Ugh.

damn straight, i love Home Movies. I just saw the "Bye Bye Greasey" episode on saturday and i consider that one of my favorite episodes.
