That really is the great thing about Usagi. read the whole thing and it is extremely rewarding, but you really can jump in with almost any trade and leap right into the story.

I think this is a book that won’t grab anybody’s attention if they didn’t all ready know about “The Guild.” It is nice to see Felicia Day (of The Guild, Dollhouse, and Dr Horrible’s Sing Along Blog) branch out and scribe a humorous companion comic to go along with her 3 seasons of a hilarious web show. I’m afraid though that if you didn’t watch the show the quirkiness of Codex just doesn’t translate well. Basically if you know the voices of the characters from watching the show, then the book is much more enjoyable.

So if you haven’t picked this up…look up The Guild, watch all the seasons, including season three that features nerd-god Wil Wheaton. Watch them. That should take about 3 hours or so. Then you are hooked. So go out and pick up this book. My wife hates comics and she loves the guild…She loved the book.

The art is excellent for the story and it is good to finally get a glimpse at “The Game” that we have until now only seen the intro doodles of for 3 years. I hope that this comes out more often I’m still waiting for Dr Horrible #2.

If you haven’t heard of the guild and watched it this is:

So. I finally got on the Star Wars: Legacy bandwagon and got the first trade. I love it. I know I read the first issue once before but the beginning of this series is outstanding. I love the take on this future Star Wars setting and I love the characters. I can't wait to read more.

The Creepy run is great by the way. Its a jumbo-sized quarterly comic though, so... it's not a monthly endeavor, nor a monthly drain on your wallet, but money very well spent when it comes out.

We actually have a Savage Sword comic coming out that will be similarly huge and awesome. The Esad Ribic cover is about the best thing ever. I am uber-excited for that book!
