I am going to shout out a plug for this label for several reasons.

1. The owner is signing up kick ass bands that never got a real chance from the late 80's, early 90's

2. A lot of these bands were local to the Chicago area

3. I used to roadie for one of them

So if you like the type of rock that was around in the late 80's early 90's check out this label.

Yeah, I've been aware of this label for awhile. Some of those albums were recommended to me and I emailed the label asking if they sent out review copies, but they never replied.

Who did you roadie for?

None that I should tell. The origin of my name "Denim" comes from their guitar player, 17 years later and I still use it. I don't even think the bass player ever even knew my real name.

I didn't realize you were a member of the '80s hard rock community! You should stop by my music blog sometime and give your thoughts on some of the albums I review. I'm into the same kind of music. I'm too young to have lived through it though. Sad

It's funny, I can get freakin' Roadrunner Records to send me stuff, yet I can't get enough attention from indie labels for them to even say "no thanks". Laughing

I have exchanged several emails with the guy that runs Eonian, seems like a nice guy, but it is taking him forever to return a demo tape of a band that a friend of mine sent him almost a year ago. The cd that it was going to be used for was just released this last week. I loved the Chicago metal scene back in the late 80's early 90's. There were tons of bands that were just so awesome here, but just never got the chance. Then the grunge movement came in and it all went away.
I have another friend that I grew up with, whose cd actually came out retty much because I made a myspace page for him. His cd is here, but it is out of stock, for now. I am not sure if my friend is going to renew his contract with him

Yeah, Retrospect is another cool label. I haven't bought any reissues from them, but I picked up Wildstreet and Freakshow. Two of my favorite albums from this year.

Just read your Steel Panther review and agree with it 100%. I just love singing along to Community Property though, real loud, in my car, with the windows down and an old lady in the car next to me, with her window down. I just sing and smile at her as she makes a disgusting face at me.
