Hal came back to huge sales yet Cap died to make the big money but it seems staying dead is the best course of action for him. Barry is gearing up for a big return, can lightning strike twice? What are your thoughts on death's revolving door in comics? Should the trip reflect life (according to several religions and beliefs) and be a one way trip?

If Brubaker doesn't bring back Steve during his run, I'm I wonder how long the next writer will wait before possibly resurrecting him.

I have no problem with the Death/Rebirth thing, so long as they bring Bruce Wayne back.

Resurrection worked great for Colossus (too bad most writers don't know what to do with him now, though), Cyclops, Bucky, Superman (not at first, with the new powers crap, but eventually it did), Green Arrow, Hal Jordan, The Punisher and many others.

So I'm okay with killing and rebirthing(?) characters as long as it makes sense, works for the longest run and isn't done just for the sake of shocking.

wasn't that not the reason he was offed in the first place?

for me though I am kind of glad they kept Johnny alpha in 2000ads strontium dog story dead. Sure 2000ad are printing stories set in his past at the mo but the character is still dead.

I don't know if it was the reason back then, but Peter was definitely misused or unused. His death was very sad but welcomed, at least in my eyes.

Whedon did great job resurrecting Peter and used him well in his stories, but other writers seem to fail the same way writers failed with Colossus 8-10 years ago.

Didn't Wasp recently get killed off, too?

She did, but, i'm not sure how that was actually handled.

I do like how Hank is honoring her memory though, and Slott's take on him. nicely done.

I don't care for it. It's unnecessary writing it if they come back, unless there is some kind of a provocation to do so. As in depth to the meaning of it. If you plan on killing a character, have a gravestone carved, don't just do it for sales. Like others have said, it gets old. Lessens a story's impact and makes it pointless.

So many I could list. But I won't. Everyone knows pretty much all the ones that were dumb. :P
