I thought, as the local roller derby expert, that I would open up a thread for questions and discussion. Feel free to ask me anything, I have answers. 
The National Championships were this past weekend, and they were a huge upset. The top three teams in the nation were out of the tourney in the first round. The winners were the Oly Rollers, a brand new team from Olympia, WA. From their semi-final bout against Denver, here is the cleanest, most powerful leg whip I've ever seen:

I have a pair of the padded shorts, but they restrict my movement so much that I don't wear them. I'll risk the bruises.
