couldn't find a home for this... They are Avengers too...right?

Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers Unleashed #1 of 4

To be lame I have to say that this issue is PAWSOME…. No really it’s in my contract. But this book was fun to read and again fleshes out the animal companions that make up the Pet Avengers as they go in search of Frog Thor their missing comrade. That shouldn’t be a problem though. This is the same team that took on Thanos…. And WON!

The banter between Hairball and Ms. Lion is hilarious as usual. Those two basically open up the book with Ms. Lion coming out to be the hero. He actually fixed one of his mistakes. Then they are joined by the rest of the Pet Avengers sans Thor Frog, which begins their quest.

The story is good; it is nice to get to see into the mind of the marvel animals other than the PAs. We watch them talk to some hippos and the frogs of central park in this issue, I’m sure we will se some more animal interactions in the next 3 issues. The art is okay, nothing to really talk about; but also, not incredibly bad.

What stood out to me was the poster, I think it's the first time we're seeing the Spidey/Wolvie one.

It's an impressive roster, I just wish I was excited for this as I am for Secret Avengers.

I'm thrilled though. I wanted Mockingbird to be on a team. And the fact that Iron Fist is on the New Avengers again has me positively throbbing.

The only thing that could make me happier (and I've said this before) is if Daredevil was on an Avengers team. However, I got most of my wishes. I wanted Beast, Moon Knight, and Iron Fist on Avengers teams and they are, so I can't complain.

I just love that picture so much. Marko Djurdjevic is an amazing artist. I can't wait to get the poster.

I also have to say that I'm getting more and more excited for the new Avengers books each day.

Meh. I like Iron Man in that pic a lot, and Spidey isn't that bad, but the rest kinda suck. Wolverine and Thor's faces look weird.

def...love it...I know I gave the announcement of JRJR shit when it was first announced, but since then I've read his work with JMS on Spidey and World War Hulk...and now that I'm completely used to his style I'm confident it'll work wonders with Avengers!

Wasnt sure how i felt about JRJR on art at first but I really really like his artwork on this other than Spiderwoman, she just looked off in that panel.
