I don't have a lot. I generally think it's pretty boring to watch bands perform on TV. I'd rather see them in concert and haven't bought a concert DVD in years. Documentaries/biographies are cool though.

KISS - Exposed
KISS - Konfidential & X-Treme Close Up
KISS - Live in Las Vegas
KISS - Symphony
KISS - Kissology, Vol 1.
Alice Cooper - Brutally Live
Alice Cooper - Trashes the World
Judas Priest - Electric Eye
Van Halen - Live Without A Net
Essential Music Videos: '80s Rock
Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (AMAZING documentary)
Jeff Scott Soto - One Night In Madrid

I actually would like to own Kissology Vols. 2 & 3 though just because I'm a KISS freak. I can't believe they haven't gone down in price yet. dry

Plus, I'm waiting on the release of The Decline of the Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years. It's been "in the works" for like 10 years. Darn it, just hand a VHS copy over to some low budget DVD company and let them do a direct transfer.

Yeah I agree with you there! I ended up getting all three of my copies from a used CD/DVD store by me for like $12 a piece.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have seen it a few times over the last few years due to IFC playing it uncut every once in a while.

And a dvd of Amon Amarth that came with their Twilight of the Thunder God. Oh yeah, and a Slipknot one. And RoadRunner Records 25th Anniversary dvd.

Yeah, I'm usually glued to the TV whenever IFC plays it. Laughing It's such an interesting documentary. Penelope Spheeris should do a follow up either focusing on the new hair/glam/sleaze scene or going back and talking to the same artists again and finding out what they've been up to since. I'd really love to know what some of those "but I'm gonna make it... I know I am" guys are doing right now. Laughing

Have you ever seen that Heavy: The Story of Metal documentary on VH1. They interviewed Penelope Spheeris about that doc and she talked about how she asked everyone she was interviewing how they wanted to be interviewed. Such as Gene said he had to be interviewed with beautiful women, Ozzy couldn't care less and Chris Holmes just wanted to drink during his interview. The part I found interesting was that Penelope Spheeris originally thought Chris Holmes' interview was a wreck. She said that she got done with interview and thought to herself that they didn't get anything that could be put into the film. It wasn't until she was reviewing the tapes from the interview that it struck her that his interview was more disturbing than she could have ever imagined.

I should have figured. I always forget that I don't have to explain to fellow metal fans. Wink I was going to ask you a question regarding Alice Cooper. There was a DVD release a few years back of a Alice Cooper movie from the 70's. It was Live show footage inter-cut with funny skits. Do you happen to know what it was called? My friend and I watched it at work one night, but I have since forgotten the title and never remember to ask him when I talk to him.

Doesn't ring a bell but from what I could find online I'm guessing you're referring to Good to See You Again, Alice Cooper?

That's It! If you haven't seen it yet you should. It was a pretty good movie from the live footage side of it(the skits were kinda goofy and didn't have anything to do with the music). I was told that it was shown in theaters overseas double billed with KISS meets the Phantom of the Park. What a double bill! Very Happy

BTW - If you're a KISS fan, you should check out the Exposed DVD. It's kinda done the same way. Concert clips, music videos and then wacky skits in between.

Is it out on DVD? I really need to watch more of Alice's stuff! I seen him in 03 (I believe it was his dirty diamonds tour) and it was a blast!

I know of KISS Exposed(I think it had been on tape). I just figured that all that stuff got put on the last Kissology( I haven't gotten all the way through the 3rd volume yet), but if it hasn't I will get around to picking it up soon enough for sure!

I'll also look into that 86 show of Alice's. $10 bucks is the right price for this metal head! Laughing
