I wasn't thrilled by the first few issues of the series, but I think I'm gonna give the whole thing a try.

You gotta take it for what is. that is a Homage to the adventures of superman in the 70's where all sorts crazy stuff happended to happened to superman. I myself would get the two trades unless the new collected version has added stuff. I'm also looking forward to the animated movie based on allstar superman.

I picked up the rest of the back issues I needed for the series.
