DC Universe Online

I've heard nothing but amazing things. I want to play but I don't want to pay. Oh well.

A friend of mine is a betatester, he fought Dr Fate alongside Brother Blood. His guy looks like spawn in a trenchcoat with icepowers and flight. Also his mentor is Circe and he's summoning demons of Trigon over metropolis. The minute I get a job im getting this.

so the release was Tuesday. Anyone pick this up?
I've heard that it's City of Heroes with a DC logo on it.....

You guys hear about the PC lifetime subscription for DCUO for $199.99? PS3 owners are already petitioning for Sony to allow the same thing for their subscriptions. Game looks good, but two hundred bucks? IDK. I'd want to use up that first months play before I'd even consider getting another month. Hope it's not overhyped.

Also, for those who look for trophies, the list is surprisingly small. Just 14, it seems. Course, DLC and stuff in the future, I'm sure. And these will be pretty time consuming and challenging as you progess.

This would only work on my wife's computer. Again, I just don't have the time to play it a lot so the monthly fees are just not for me.

I wonder if the PC version will get the same love as the PS3 version. There are already several companies already that have done away with updating their PC content versus their Console content, Bioshock comes to mind. I also wanted to see if anyone had hunkered down for the PC version to see how it plays. I would not be able to stand another "Final Fantasy" like feel. I would like Full Keyboard control and Binding control. It looks great, I had a friend that was in the PS3 beta, don't know if he bought the Retail though. Also, I don't know if I'd buy the Lifetime sub., I've played a few games that had those, almost slapped the money down for them, only to watch in a few months as they faded away drastically.

Does anyone know if the game takes into consideration 'real-life' scenarios? For example, does it know that Batman shouldn't be able to beat Bizarro on his own, or that magic attacks against Superman would be more effective than normal ones?

Yea I have it for PC, since I dont have a PS3 (also because I support the evil empire). I think it would be too hard to play with a controller to be honest. Plus you get awesome server names like mine "Zero Hour"

They don't have it for the mac and only Brainiac 5 knows whether or not the game will ever come to the Mac.

A few questions on the game, I was thinking about picking it up for the PS3 and I know there is a monthly fee, but do I need playstation+ to be able to play online?

Also will anyone be my friend on there if I do get it?
