Just a heads up......ACEN has opened up registration for the 2011 Con. You can now order your badges and reserve a room.

Crap.

We hold out for room blocks from the hotels across the street. I don't want to be where the chaos is when I'm trying to sleep!

That was a concern of mine, but I'm gonna risk it. This is my first time going the whole weekend, so I want to take in as much as possible.

I've gone the past 4 years. There are 4 main elevators in that hotel, and they cram people in like a Japanese train. I've heard people say that they had to wait 30 minutes just to get on an elevator. You're insane for wanting to deal with those people.

Wow....didn't think about the "sardine" effect. I carry a lot of camera equipment with me and don't really like lugging it down stairs, but looks like that may be the route to go.

Yeah, it's funny watching people try to cram as many people into an elevator as they can, and then the elevator sometimes drops a few feet because of the weight.
