So I just read the Omibus of this very awesome series called the Uniques. The creators basically pitch this as this series as Teen Titans on an HBO type show which is pretty much accurate. The Omnibus has the first 9 issues and a lot of extra content and it's just an outstanding story of teen heroes coming together to try and make a difference. Check out the site and try it out.
