The hell they can't. Just because I'm hungry doesn't mean that I'll eat sweet potatoes, which are edible, but not to my taste. So, I can ask the vendor who's got plenty of corn but is only pushing sweet potatoes if he's ever going to offer corn or just keep telling me to be happy with the same old ear of Indian corn that he's given me for two years while he's promising to find a way to offer corn.

I can guarantee you that we'll never do a Fanboy Calendar outside of something jokey and simple like the Rancor calendar. A Fanboy feature is always on our to do list, however.

Because if that feature is 'always on your to-do list', that indicates that it's not something that you're serious about ever actually accomplishing.

I love this place, but it's shit like this that makes me feel really fucking alone on this board. I know it's your playground, but I've been here long enough that I think I deserve more than the flippancy I frequently get in response to this. My presence on this board is not a joke (at least, I hope not), and neither are the things I would like to see added or explored.

I'm not leaving, and I'm not railing at anyone in particular. But, c'mon. Two years waiting on a feature that you promised at the start of FGotM? If you're not ever going to do it, just say so. I'm a big boy; I can take it.

I never thought of the FGoTM calendar in the way that you guys are, as though the Fangirls are just eye candy. I mean, it's not even pictures of us; it's more about showcasing the artist's talent and celebrating girls who love things that generally fall into the category of "boy stuff". But yelling for a Fanboy calendar is like saying, "Because I'm not sexually attracted to you ladies, I want something else." And that is pretty degrading. I'm really excited at being in a calendar, but hearing people demean it because we have the wrong kind of junk really hurts my feelings, and puts a damper on that excitement.

I'd love to see fanboys at some point, but, let's face it, in our culture men are a dime a dozen, and I'm really glad that Panels On Pages has chosen to highlight real fangirls, and not just models who say they like "that one Star Wars movie", like on some other sites. (I totally can't remember what site that is, but I'm sure someone here knows what I'm talking about.)

So, guys, the Fangirl calendar is all just in fun, and I wish people didn't take it as some sort of sexist agenda. Could you please let me have my moment of girly squealyness over being a "calendar model" instead of pooping on my parade? Thank you.

Dude, a FBoTM calendar would sell roughly 1 copy. Look, your into dudes, and that's great, but we fanboys are a dime-a-dozen. A hot chick into the same stuff as us though? Rare.

FBoTM Cover Image?

^^^^^Now that I would buy!!! What would have been perfect was if you had the computer in the background with youtube on the screen.

To address Doug's complaints and the many other people with questions about a fbotm feature, it really and truly is something we want to do. Will there be a calendar? Probably not because this is indeed a fundraiser for us and I doubt we'd sellenough to make it worthwhile.

But we are very serious about doing a feature for the male members of our community at large. The reality of the situation is that running this site and everything pertaining to it is a serious commitment and most of us have day jobs. Managing another monthly interview feature is no easy task because of the additional moving pieces involved. We do a lot. I work around the clock on ay number of projects for the site and I'm not the only one. Regrettably, this has fallen to the wayside, but its not based on any sort of disinterest on our part. We want to do this and we will.

So buy a bunch of calendars so we can quit our jobs

If I may, if they say it's on their to do list, IT IS on their to do list. They have day jobs too. They work on comic reviews, popcast, making trips to cover cons and taking video footage. Articles, I'm sure this takes a lot of time, oh and lets not forget the meet ups they all do. Poptoberfest, Pop goes the Fourth, ect... I can vouche for these guys, it may take awhile, but if it's on their to do list, they won't scratch if off until it's DONE.
