With the NFL season officially over now, more of my attention will turn to the NBA. It's been a good season so far. We're past the halfway point and going into the All-Star break. The Celtics, Heat, and Bulls have looked great in the East. But the Spurs have surprised everyone out West with the best record in the NBA. And of course, don't count out the defending champion Lakers. Lets talk some basketball!

Im still interested in how good the Bulls can be once Joakim Noah comes back from injury. The Eastern Conference is so open for Boston/Orlando/Chicago/NewYork/Miami.

Eh I wouldn't put New York in there, but those other 4 teams all have a shot for sure.

No New York, really? I know they've been slacking a bit but they aren't far from being a stellar team in the East.

When/If the Knicks get Carmelo Anthony then they can be added to the list. Depending on what they have to give up.

I think they're a good solid young team but about a year or two away and a player or two away from becoming true contenders.

Yep. Melo could put them over the top. But I've heard rumors that the Nets deal is back in the works...

My Celtics have looked really good.

He doesn't score bunches of points, but so far Rondo should be an MVP candidate.

Latest rumor from ESPN 3 way trade with NYK-Minn-Den.

Essentially he can be traded anywhere but with him stating that he will only sign and extension with the Knicks its pushed a lot of teams away. No one wants to give up players/picks for a rental.

So Melo's a Knick and D Will is a Net!

Melo trade comes to no ones surprise but the Nets pulling off a trade for one of the best PG in the game came as a surprise.

With the rumor that Denver doesn't want to keep Danilo, I was hoping the Celts would try and get him.

If any deal goes down I hope the Celts don't part with Erdain. We have a glut of bigs right now, but a young, hard working big is a hard find.

A lot of big trades went down. Power has already been shifting to the East and now after these trades even more so. Baron Davis makes the Cavs instant contenders! Laughing
