It'll affect yours, too. That's the beauty of it. This means my PS2 will finally take its rightful place in my bedroom.

What annoys me is the part of the article here where they talk about how people with a large PS2 game collection were "burned." It's an argument I've heard before and I just don't get it. YOu know how I avoided getting "burned?" I kept my PS2. The end. Were people stomping their PS2's before heading to the store to get their shiny new PS3's? What's the issue here? I agree it was lame that they removed the backwards compatibility, but it's not like they did some grave wrong to people who already had PS2's.

^ Ha. Good point. What I meant, though, was that my PS3 will play my PS2 games. Haven't tried PS1 games, but my internal memory says it has 120 kbs of room for PS1 games, so I'm assuming it does. I think I got that one 80Gig that was discontinued or something. IDK. *shrugs*

Too bad when it did run them the quality looked even worse than you running it from the original system. Yea that's right, when it originally came out it was backwards compatible. But it looked like ass.

^ Mine looks fine. Looks just like PS2's graphics. If you're on a HD screen, there will be noticeable pixelation, though. That's from anything that isn't. *shrugs*

Also, I feel like X-Box users and soon Wii players with the stuff "coming up" are more like iPhone people. Heh.
