I was inspired by two similar threads. Anyways, throw your rants, pet-peeves, and pissed-off-ed-ness here.

- We get it, there's a Dark fuckin' Reign. No more titles, please.
- Quit canceling shit that I'm buying! (This year for me? The Twelve, Eternals, Ghost Rider, and now Exiles.)
- You're going to fuck up Marvelman/Miracleman, you bastards. I know you will!

The Twelve was always planned as a 12-issue maxi-series.

Really? Didn't know that. According to Wikipedia #9 will be re-solicited. This actually could be JMS or Chris Weston's fault, not necessarily Marvel's. It's not like he didn't bail out on Marvel at least once (quit Squadron Supremem after only 7 issues in the middle of a story, just because he "got tired of the book". At least his leaving of ASM was planned for over year, despite the final result forced on him by his boss. And Thor he's leaving at its peak, because he got to the pint where the book must be part of a crossover and he doesn't like it. Not to mention the 20-something issues of Rising Stars he finished in just 6 years.

So it's not always Marvel's fault, but yeah: Fuck Marvel.

^ Hrm. Didn't know he bailed before, but it seems to me that he really loved the book. Like Geoff Johns, he's fascinated with the Golden Age in his writings. I think the sales were low and Marvel cut him off. Marvel is more reknowned for cancelling at the drop of a hat, especially with miniseries. I'll lean towards Marvel's greed over respect to writers/artists and readers anyday.

I think that despite the little fraction between JMS and Quesada post-OMD, he was still respected at Marvel. Sure, he just announced that he won't renew his contract and said he wants to venture into new places, especially at DC, but he was willing to stay on Thor for as long as he could and The Twelve was just about to get released so Marvel didn't really lose him or something. These two books were still the only two JMS books out there in the last year and a half, and again, the only reason JMS is leaving Thor next month is because Marvel forced the book into a crossover against JMS' wishes.

Fuck them in their fucking fuckhole! I dropped a load in that washer and put it on extra rinse!

I hope he finds a home at Marvel. Can't wait for his Red Circle one-shot series next month. Wish him luck bringin' them into the DCU.

Westons not the fastest artist to start off with but JMS got slack with the scripts and in the meantime chris got a job doing some designing for the film book of eli
