Kenner's aliens stood in as the Brood for my X-Men. It worked fairly well.

i think the closest I came was the Jurassic Park toyline (from the original movie) for a complete set. I had everything except for the compound and a few dinos (Stegasaurus and the adult trex) but I had the cheaper dinos fill in for them. I never got into Ghostbusters but I rocked their house (which turned into the command center for JP, also a home for the turtles, and a home for the x-men.) Did anyone else just reuse the buildings to build a city for other toy lines? For example on one side of the room was the turtle sewer house

on the other side of the room was this

And to make vehicles that could take a beating was the Knex truck (which I built according to the directions then threw it down the stairs, found the weak spots then reinforced them.....

Oh yeah I also rocked the crash dummy toys for a while

After looking at a bunch of these, my mom and dad and grandma rocked. I had a good few of this stuff. Given, some things I may have bought myself, but still.

YES! I need to get on this HCR with a quickness! These toys were amazing. I only had, like, two... then one day in high school I found out one of the other kids still had his, and I bought them all off of him for I don't even know how much... 40 bucks? I was THRILLED!!!

Here's one of my nostalgic toys (that I still have, 'cause I just took the pics).

When I was a girl, I LOVED Linda Carter's Wonder Woman sooo much. I wanted to be just like her. Then when my parents dropped the hint they'd be getting me the Mego Wonder Woman Barbie for Christmas (which I hadn't seen yet), I was extremely excited.
So on Christmas, I ripped the box open......and was HORRIFIED. This terrifying monstrosity was no Linda Carter. With the hypno eyes, claw-like hands, gangly limbs, and wild hair it was scarier than a china doll.
Not only were the nails sharp and literally GRABBED ON to my clothes all the time, one of her hands fell off and I was afraid at night that it was going to crawl up on my pillow and enter one of my head orafices.
affraid
That's okay, I made her an evil witch in all my Fantasy and Sci-Fi exploits from then on out. I poked a hole in her forehead for her evil sorceress stone.

BTW, I lost the hand awhile ago. It worries me as to where it might be.....
scratch

...maybe I left it at my last house when I moved, and it's slowly and methodically dragging itself across the countryside, one scritch at a time, *scritch, scritch, scritch*, and one day I'll open my front door and it'll be there waiting, tapping it's scraggly fingernails.
