I saw this before Inglourious Basterds last weekend and as excited as I already was for the movie, the trailer just got me even more pumped.

Werewolves used to scare the piss out of me. I guess they still do.

I'm really looking forward to this. This is a remake that deserved it

Same. I was taken aback on how theatre-vibe it felt with the acting and setting.
I figured it being along the lines of The Mummy and Van Helsing. So happy I was wrong.

That trailer was pretty creepy. My bro used to tell me werewolves live in closets when I was little. Which, of course, was followed by my little, kiddie, shrill voice saying, "Nuh-uh." tongue

That's what me and Astro were saying. Werewolves are one of my favorite monsters. Heh, that seemed silly typing that. Anyways, I hope they do all the Universal Monsters with justice. Invisible Man deserves some props with a movie as being the lesser of the Universal Monsters. Well, the Gill-Man is probably the weakest.

Laughing If only. Under a full moon, Chris Claremont becomes becomes Marv Wolfman and writes the darkside of Marvel with Tomb of Dracula and, appropriately, Werewolf by Night. tongue

neutral That reminds me. I still want my Werewolf by Night adaptation. headbang

Love everything about this so far from what I have seen. I love the teaser on the effects, Anthony Hopkins is the balls as always, and the last bit of the trailer with him howling at the moon was great.

I just found out that Anthony Hopkins is playing Sir John Talbot, the name of the original Wolfman in the Universal movies, while del Toro is playing Lawrence Talbot. Wonder if their is something to that or not?

Good news - The Wolfman gets an R for 'bloody horror, violence and gore'.

Because I would so not see this if it was PG 13...

I was wondering, too, if it was going to be another Sommers-esque, PG-13, Universal Monsters "remake".

I'm glad I've seen the original. For those who haven't seen it, this poster says pretty much the whole story.

That seems silly.

An R-rating only gives me hope that Wolfman will have nards.

I remember Full Eclipse. thought it was pretty good. American Werewolf in Paris however was godawful.

I didn't mind Paris. Have the tape somewhere. I will say that I want that Landis script, at least, of An American Werewolf in London II, if not the movie. *rubs hands with greed* Not sure how I feel about the talk of a AWiL remake.

Oh, and I want my Werewolf Women of the S.S., damnit!
