This thread is interesting to me. While I admit to having some strong feelings for some men in comics, I have never really thought a cartoon guy was hot. Well, until JLU and my Shining Knight/Vigilante slash fantasies.

I'm not sure I'd want to be sitting next to any of you on a Saturday morning unless I was wearing a rain poncho. Laughing

Laughing Silly rabbit, only sanitized anime and poorly drawn animation is on Saturday mornings. Friday nights are the place to be!

From Crying Freeman. I think she was the one in the metal bikini even though it was said she was the mob boss' lady.

"Princess" was the Americanized name they gave her.
Jun, from Gatchaman, was WAY more badass than we kiddies in the USA were ever allowed to see.

For example: her Yo-yo was a razor-blade weapon - a fact which was totally edited out of the Americanized "BotP" we watched over here in the late 70's...

Jun was hot, fought like Bruce Lee, and killed Sosai-X's bad guys without reservation. We're back to anime again, but she was DEFINITELY a cartoon hottie!

No metal bikini. She WAS the mob boss' lady.
The one who banged the crooked cop at her husband's funeral just to rope him into her hunt for Freeman.

I didn't bother getting any screencaps of her w/ her clothes on, 'cuz her character just wasn't that interesting. But hey. Here's one of Emu that doesn't violate any rules:

Y'know, when we moved back to the states after living in Japan through most of the 70's, I was -very- confused by the American versions of Mach-A-Go-Go and Gatchaman. They were so sanitized and different than the cartoons I grew up with.

^ RIGHT!

They added the whole "7-Zark-7" thing to try & splice together the little bits of story that were left after they finished editing out all the "bad" stuff.

I loved the animation style - before I ever knew what it was. Same with "Starblazers" (Space Battleship Yamato). But, once I got older & was able to find the original series (in Japanese, without any edits) I was completely smitten. Totally unlike the "Westernized" versions; no punches were pulled. When somebody died, they actually *showed* it, and there was none of this, "He was a ROBOT," crap.

That was the beginning of my passion for anime. It wasn't necessarily PC or "family friendly." For that matter, I guess that's why I love "Bugs Bunny" and "Tom & Jerry" so much. Smile

It's funny: Robotech is about the only instance most anime fans I know actually preferred what the Americans did to it. Laughing

Plus, her head was detachable. Does that make me weird.
Cartoon Hotties - Page 2 MM56...or does that make Rock weird?
Wonder what's going through his head?
Rock mumbling to himself: "Technically we're not brother and sister in the biological sense. We're frickin' androids. Ya...that makes sense. Hehehe." *drool*

I know, right? As soon as I saw her in the Molotov babysitter scene at the pool, I fell in love with her. I wonder if she's modeled after anyone?
