Does anyone do this with Marvel or anywhere else? Its 4.99 a month charged at 60 bucks.... I was thinking about doing this to catch up on a bunch of stories I have missed over the years....

EDIT: its also just 9.99 for one month....

I did it for one month, ended up being two months just to get my Nick fury action figure. But that offer is over now. so I would wait to see what other promotion they do.

I am not a fan of the way Marvel does it. I wish they would go back to what they were doing with GIT Corp. Realisng DVD-Rom sets with full runs. They were about 30-40 bucks each and were full scans, with ads and letters pages. That was more with it, especially for the ads. Each ad is like a piece of history for me, I just get nostalgic like that. I also like that after buying the dvd-roms, they are yourzs, you can take as long as you want to read them without having to worry about them going away.

See I think that the DVD-ROM is great to make a purchase that substansial for something that you want to own. The digital comics has allowed me and my friends (you can be logged in on multiple computers at once) to catch up on hundreds of books that we would have never purchased, and anything we thought was worth picking went and bought hard copies of.

hrdwrkng thats all I would want to do with the online thing, maybe use it for about a month or two. I just want to catch up on the marvel universe for the last few years. I like owning the old paper backs, i love the smell of old books, but just would like to read some of the big crossovers of the past decade....

I would say digital is worth it. I think you could catch up failry well that way. Like I said you get to screen stuff and if you really liked it order the TBP off of amazon or something. I've read a lot of good stuff, but tons and tons of stuff that was just okay and I didn't bother to buy hard copies of.
