Most other paints that Ive used need watering down/thinning.
Testors doesn't usually need it......sometimes it helps.....but I rarely have to.

Primer and sanding is always good.
Just because you never know how the plastic will take the paint.
And it sucks spending alot of time painting only to have the paint flake off later.

And remember to wash the figure before you paint it because some times the oils they use to get the pieces out of the molds in the factory stay on the figure and make the paints not dry. So give them a warm soap and water bath before any painting.

So I had to make one.

Movie Iron Patriot unmasked.

Not bad although he looks like he's got a long neck. You might want to try dremeling out the hole in the head so it sets on the peg a little further down.

I was thinking the same thing, but I'll have to be careful because not only is it a hard to find head the IP neck has an up and down swivel and I don't want to hinder that great feature.

I think I finally got the hang of sculpting hair now. Wish I had the parts to make another Goliath from Gargoyles.

This next one I had been working on for some time now and it was taking me forever to find the right body. The jetpack was the first thing I had and I had it since I was a kid. It went with one of those rubber and wire bendy figures of the Rocketeer, I repainted it to look at little more roughed up and addded the lucky gum. The head was the next part made after the pack was repainted and it was made from an Iron Man 2 movie Mark 1 and a hand cut fin. Then I found the prefect body to finish the figure desert gear Crimson Guard.

Death Gambit from X-men: Hellbound

Death Gambit was made with a Marvel Legends Havok, ML Bullseye hands, and a ML Professor X head. I glued wire for the lining on the shirt, used the trench coat from the ML Gambit, and belt from a ML Captain America. The demon head is a severed head of Malebolgia from an old Spawn figure I had. I know it's a lot bigger than the one in the comic but I just thought it looked pretty badass. Everything else was sculpted.

Costume isn't completely accurate to the X-Force Wolverine (no shoulder pads and gray on the sides), but otherwise great paint job!

Yeah i know it isn't perfect to the comic but i like the way it came out and the metal claws came out nice as well
