I had a costume idea, now I can't remember it. I would really love to go as Luna Lovegood, but with it being Florida, dark robes probably aren't the best idea. Is there a list of who's going as what yet?

WonderWoman2.0 wrote:So this was brought up over at Pop Goes the Fourth, and I was wondering about it...are there people who maybe don't want to fly out to Florida, but would be willing to drive out there instead? I know some are already planning on going together in a group, but are there any other who are kinda tossing the idea around? I want to go this fall, and I'm going to one way or another, but I do think it would ultimately be cheaper to carpool together...so, I dunno. We can discuss. Smile

I was talking about that yesterday. So yes I would be interested in carpooling. Although I have no car, I can do gas money and I'm a pretty sweet wheelman.

Well, I've got my car, it seats about four, so if anyone else would wanna come, I'm sure there'd be no issues. Very Happy

Just a heads-up. We talked a little business at PoP! Goes the 4th and PoP!toberfest was on the agenda. You don't want to miss this. It's going to be ridiculous.

If the pictures, videos, and stories of last year don't tempt people, nothing will. This may be blasphemy, but I had more fun at PoP!toberfest 2009 than I did at Wizard World Chicago 2009. My only real concern for this year is that there will be so much awesome we won't have time to fit it all in. Laughing

I've been looking into doing a Character Breakfast for our Disney day. At Magic Kingdom there's two, Cinderella's Royal Table (you eat in the Castle) and Crystal Palace on Main Street.

Cinderella Royal Table is slightly over $47 a person with tax and gratuity included.

Reservation times are from 8-11:15AM

Characters include Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Belle, Aurora, Snow White, will vary day to day. I've also seen Mary Poppins and Jasmine.

"Enjoy pre-plated all-you-care-to-eat American breakfast favorites including bacon and eggs, French toast, granola, yogurt and pastries as you sip on your choice of juice, milk, coffee or tea."

Imaging Package: When you arrive at Cinderella Castle for your reservation, a photographer will be on hand to take pictures of your group in the lobby, before you are seated in the dining room.
You get a photo package including:
4 prints 4" by 6"
One print 6" by 8"
One print 6" by 8" of Cinderella Castle
Cinderella-themed photo holder delivered to you during your meal. (One photo package per party of 1-4; two photo packages for parties of 5-8, etc.) Additional photos may be purchased.

Info on Disney.com

Crystal Palace is just over $20 a person, tax and gratuity not included.

Reservation times are from 8-10:30AM

Characters include Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore.

"The breakfast buffet includes traditional favorites such as omlettes, cereals and freshly baked pastries, as well as more unique offerings such as breakfast lasagna and cheddar cheese potatoes."

Info on Disney.com

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort
Price is just over $26 a person
Breakfast is served from 7-11:20AM
Menu
Characters include Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale

Reservations for these things need to be made 90 days in advance and we're coming up on that fairly quick. If you are interested, please say so! Smile

The breakfast at the Contemporary is where me and my folks always used to go. It was great.

I figured staying in the park would save on time but I can put up the info for that one, too.

I had a buddy at work try to get into the Cinderella's castle breakfast, and it was nearly impossible. If I recall, they give priority booking options to people staying in the parks, so it can be tough to get a timeslot. Try to book as soon as you can.

Good luck!!

If I am able to go, i might be able to get discounts. I get into the parks and such for free since my biological father works for the "giant rat".

I remember doing the Chef Mickey breakfast years ago and I absolutely loved it.

Cross fingers that by October I'll be working for either Disney or Universal.

On my Facebook Nicole is all about the Crystal Palace and Eeyore. I'm good with that, it's the cheapest option, it's in the park and it'll be Nicole's first trip to Disney so that experience will just be adorable to watch. happy

I'm good with any of them but for the reasons above I'll put my vote in for Crystal Palace.

We also don't have to do breakfast but I figured for those of us who are getting there early it might be a nice way to start the day - and it'd be the cheapest meal option. Most places (if not all) have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My vote is for the Princess breakfast, but if everyone's in for the Crystal Palace I won't object. I'd just much rather have breakfast with a princess than the critters from 100 Acre Wood :P

Actually, either would be pretty cool.
