Krod Mandoon

Krod Mandoon and the Flaming sword of Fire on Comedy Central...anybody else gonna watch this?? Looks like it'll be kinda funny.

I've already set the TiVo. The BF and I will be watching Ace of Cakes, then I'll watch Krod later on my own.

Looks terrible. 4 episodes before cancellation.

I'm gonna try it out for the sheer hotness that is India de Beaufort.

Like RWE, I'll try it. I originally thought it was a made-for-tv movie, but now it is a series and made me reassess my interest. But ya, I'll definitely watch the first one.

I'm gonna give it a try but I highly suspect this is getting cancelled in two episodes like the Xtacles.

Now that I've had time to really sit down and look over the site on Comdedy Central...I think a made for tv movie would've worked best. But I'll give it a look tonight.

I rabidly watch Legend of the Seeker every week, which is so campy it's almost a spoof itself, so it'll be interesting to see that spoofed.

I tried watching LotS once...I didn't even make it 15 mins.

Xtacles didn't so much get cancelled...more or less it didn't get picked up and then the production company imploded.

Chocolate News should've been SO much better. Fuckin' Dave Chappelle had to go and flip out....he could still be doing his show to this day.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect any guys to get into that show. It's like fantasy porn for girls or uber geeks,
the same way Twilight is for teenage girls. No self-respecting man should like it. I however, will wear my girldom geek flag proudly.

I really expect Krod Mandoon to not be very good though (mostly because of the reviews).

Red Flag A about Krod Mandoon is that is stars the guy that played the Leonidas character in Meet the Spartans.

Unfair. The actor is actually very funny, as evidenced by his turn as gay classmate Kyle on The Class. Given good material (which Spartans was not), he's very, very funny.

It's got that guy who played Prothero playing Arcadius. It's kind of bleh so far, but made me smile a couple times. Seems only the villain and his lackey, though.

For what it was, it got a few good laughs out of me. I love the way they're playing it straight, with very few of those 'wink wink' moments. And yeah, Dongalor's funny as shit. I think that's that guy from Little Britain, but I could be wrong.

I'll give it another try. On WUMB, thePUNISHER came up with a fantastic theory that makes perfect sense. All the people in the show are actually D&D players. That would explain the out of place accents and such. Also, Krod is dork backwards. thePunisher pointed that out and I wouldn't've even considered that possibility. 'Course, and this is what I thought, that it was going for that Monty Python's Holy Grail, Robin Hood: Men in Tights kind of comedy. IDK. We'll see. Still a great theory.

Meh.....i couldn't watch all of it....i didn't like it

I almost gave up on it in the first 5 minutes, but they you meet the rest of the cast, and it has it's corks.

meh. I would call it, on rare occassions, slightly humorous. Certainly not a real comedy. But an hour was a really long time to sit through a lukewarm show.

It may warm up and get more funny. Often I find pilots to be the least funny episodes. Maybe it'll get more funny as it progresses. But it really needs better writing. Just making of obvious silly spoof of something, without actual jokes, does not make it funny.
