Usually only requires a high school diploma Az. I have to tell you, women are more predispositioned to do this job because of the multi-tasking. But there area few guys who are awesome at it. It can be very stressful. You must be prepared for anything, at any time. You must be prepared to be yelled at, i.e. "get me the fucking cops/ambulance, right now!" You must be prepared to listen to several radio channels at once, and sometimes while you are on the phone. You must be prepared to hear about the worst in people. You must be prepared to know more about people than you ever thought you wanted to know. But the best part? I get to tell cops where to go. LOL

It most definately can be. For the most part, I love what I do. And I kick ass at it. I am just struggling with some of the hours (we rotate monthly) and other stuff that goes with the job.

The few friends that I do have, like to have me around most of the time. I have been sober for 6 years next month. But I am still comfortable going out, so I can always be a designated driver.
