Really like this list. Some may not agree with numero uno, which I'd have put three others in its stead, but I'll allow it. It was good.

Overall a good list but I'd like to have seen the first Double Dragon get the number 1 spot.

No list without River City Ransom is worth anything to me.

Oh shit, I remember this.

The only one on that list I couldn't vouch for was the Spiderman arcade game. Never heard of that one. And I thought I'd seen all the Spidey games. Must've slipped past me at some point.

My number one would've been Turtles in Time. Played so smoothly and the story was fun.

I remember the Spidey arcade game. The hotel my family used to stay at had it in there little game room.I would have put the X-Men and TMNT arcade in the top three with Simpsons arcade being #1. Golden Axe would still be on my list buy at like 7

^ I agree with that 7. Maybe even 8. And, I've said a bunch, but I wasted so much money at the arcade with Simpsons' and X-Men's arcade games. So, so good. But I'm still resolute with the Turtles in Time. Longer game, it was home console, better story (IMO)...really liked it.

The thing with the Simpsons, X-men and Turtles games is that it's more or less the same game.

^ BLASPHEMY! ...wait, all these beat'em-ups are more or less the same. You punch, kick and pick up things to hurt bad guys that'll blink away once defeated.

When I was a kid, I never realized how cheap the enemy AI was in the X-Men game. I was too busy unleashing a berzerker rage on enemies with Wolverine to notice. No wonder why I could never get past stage 2 in an 8 player game without losing all my quarters/tokens. WTF!? There are 8 X-Men on screen and about 2,000 enemies. How the fuck are you expected to beat the game?! Need to take a 2nd mortgage out on your house just to beat it. Then once you do beat it, you start over from the beginning on a harder difficulty. FML. But I still love the game. Laughing

^ I'm really shocked they have tapped this well yet. Bionic Commando got a reboot, why not some classics.

Also, where's the collection?!

The difficulty of bosses/amount of enemies depends on the amount of players.

^ Oh, okay. I just thought you saw the video and thought it was like that.

Anybody remember Fighting Force? The only 3D game to capture the side-scrolling fun of a beat'em up, IMO.

This game was the shit! You could use a lot of the stuff in the environment as a weapon. For example, if you were in an elevator you could pull off one of the railings and use it to beat people with. I recall that this was one of the first games to have a semi interactive environment. Great game. The sequel, not so much.

^ Yea, the sequel tried to be an action/adventure or something, but it just came off as a very blank, linear game. No enemies, difficult controls when trying to take out enemies (especially the gunplay) and you could only be one character...oh, and it was waaay too long for such a game lacking enemies and story.

Can't wait for the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game.
